Why do so many people here think that the best job for an aspie is one where they are locked away in a room somewhere and don't have to deal with people? Such jobs can make you very lonely and I find that if I'm on such a job I end up browsing the web and going onto sites just to have some personal ...

It is hurtful that people are made to feel that their life is so worthless that they want to throw it away. Most people in the world do not achieve everything they would like to, many underachieve but you may attain your goals later in life. I know I struggled a lot in my earlier days. SilentScream,...

Just clicked on that puatraining site out of interest. I should start up something like that. Seems a great way to make money. Social-coaching for aspies. How to get dates. How to meet people. How to interact when you do meet people. Did the OP say that 90% of aspie men never have a relationship or ...

I don't relate to Eminem songs, I did used to relate to Morrissey/Smiths ones. I like different music to most of what is in the charts, but that's only now because the charts are so terrible. Up until 1997 (end of Britpop) I was quite happy with what was in the charts. One thing I find is that I am ...

Moderately well educated, got a Maths Degree 2i but only from University College London, didn't go to Cambridge like some of my family. Got a Masters Degree at Imperial but only went there in the first place because I couldn't get a job.

Never got a PhD.

I didn't sign up on facebook for a long time after everyone else did because it wouldn't let me use the name Earl Purple, because Purple got flagged as an invalid surname. And I didn't want to use my real name, but eventually I did.

I declined my mother when she requested me as a friend.

People use their facebook accounts the way they see fit.

Some may choose to add anyone they know or have a contact with. Others may prefer not to add people they know in real life, because it feels an intrusion of their internet privacy.

I also haven't got the right personality. So enjoy using dreadful software writt...

Yes, from London. Must be the most horrible place to be an aspie, as people are generally cold and unfriendly in this country anyway.

Although there are plenty of backstabbers in the USA too.
