I am kind of wondering the same thing. How do people who have been professionally diagnosed with AS feel about people who are self-diagnosing?

I know it is, and that's what I hate about it, it's not real.

I can't stand when people have a "anyone can do anything" attitude. Not everyone can do everything. Thinking that way for some people is only going to set you up for failure over and over again until you quit trying. I agree. Growing up I was told that over and over "you can do anything" because of...

Well in my opinion there is a huge problem with this test. It is implied that the Mega-size smoothie is the biggest size they have, but it is not stated whether or not this actually is the biggest size they have available. It is clear that Joe intends to get the biggest size, in both cases, but it ...

I have more of a mind's ear than a mind's eye. I can visualize things to some extent but I can't stay focused on it. If I try to visualize something like a movie my mind keeps wanting to jump ahead to the next scene, and the next and the next.

I do believe in the paranormal. Children seeing things that adults don't see doesn't always mean they are hallucinating.

"I'll let you know" or "I'll think about it" usually means they intend to forget about it as soon as they are done talking to you.

"I don't mean to be __x__ but..." means they do mean to be __x__ but they are just hoping you won't get upset about what they have to say.

I looked up the Sally Anne test, I never heard of it before. Well my answer was the "wrong" one. But here's my reasoning, Sally would look around for her ball once she realized it wasn't where she left it, and the next obvious place to look would be the other container next to the one where she left...

I mean if you have some study backing up your claim I'd be glad to read it. I've just never heard of it being put that way before.

It's not a "claim" it's my own experience. I don't need studies to back up my own experiences. I don't to get into any kind of debate here so please back off.

Yeah it's definitely an issue with ADHD, or ADD. I think it's possible that some people with ADHD are misdiagnosed with depression. It can look like you are depressed when really your brain is just underaroused. It can feel like you are half asleep all the time. Hyperactitvity is the body's way of t...

I have a lot of hesistations about posting online. The thing is those words stay there. It's not like when you are talking, you say something and the words you have said eventually pass away and are forgotten. When there's a written record people can keep dragging up old things you have said before....

I have ADHD and I deal with the same thing. No motivation, low or no energy. It doesn't necessarily mean you have depression.

I hate pencils, chalk and chalkboards. I will never forget the first time I took the SAT, it was in a really noisy room. The desks were those really old desks with loose wooden tops that would squeak loudly every time someone moved. That, and the sound of the pencils scratching on paper, were so lou...
