Yeah it happens to me a lot. I figured it was because I actually have had a lot of jobs in retail. And maybe it is something about the way I walk too.

That is why I live in the fashion of "Just keep the crazy visible." I don't need to hide behind the f***ing facade we all call normality. Both ways have caused me problems, and me just being my crazy, f**** up self with not much regard or care for social rules has actually caused less problems than...

I think one of the biggest problems with these tests is when they have a lot of questions along the lines of "other people tell you that you _____" and you don't interact with other people enough for them to tell you anything about yourself.

I like to eat in bed too! Wow I wondered if other people did that. My grandmother used to do that and my mother always says that's where I got it from. She would read in bed while she was eating. I don't do that, I watch dvds while I eat. Usually episodes of House. Some days I will wait all day befo...

I took up gardening. It gets me out of the house. Otherwise I just end up sitting at the computer all day doing the same stuff over and over.

People treat me one way when they first meet me, or when they don't really know me very well. If they find out what I'm really like they act surprised and they start treating me different. One guy told me, wow I thought you really had it together. Well I try so hard to come off that way to people, l...

I have ADHD and I have a lot of trouble with fluctuating abilities. Something I can do almost flawlessly one day is a disaster the next. I can't force myself to do an activity just because it's time to do it. Sometimes I need to defocus for awhile and come back to it. It can take a few minutes or it...

I'm glad if I am able to pass for normal (whatever that is) as much as possible, because I really can't stand to be treated like there is anything wrong with me. But it is really exhausting trying to do what I'm supposed to, blend in, keep a job and all that. I manage to get by but it just takes a l...

I disagree. It could only be true if you are doing a completely independent activity that doesn't involve other people in any way, and like it or not things always end up involving other people. And they can either open up and make the way for you or they can block you or deny you passage.

The test assesses five different areas. Autistic-like responses will show poor social skill, attention switching, communication and imagination, and an exaggerated attention to detail. In other words, geekiness. You scored 42. Your Aspie score: 177 of 200 Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 35 o...

People think you are being arrogant if you reject the food they like to eat, like you are saying you are better than them. They don't understand the concept of personal preference.

This is one characteristic where I seem to differ. I like bright, sunny days. On cloudy days I feel like I am struggling to see things, and I have less motivation. I need sunlight to stimulate me into getting things done. I also love the longer days of summer because I don't have to manage my time s...

It baffles me that people get offended if you don't like their food or if you say it looks gross or tastes nasty. Yeah this is a life long problem for me, as I am a very picky eater. I have never understood why someone would be offended if I said I didn't want to eat the food they offered me. I don...
