I've read that night terrors like these can be caused by a sensitivity to salicylate acids. It could be caused by the foods you eat.

I counter SA's by using an epsom salt lotion on my skin to absorb the salts that allow the body to detox the acids out through urine.

"I would bone Andy (24), but I'd never date him." said NT (27) Kate (names changed) at work - because Andy is under 30yo and therefore "has nothing to offer." (in her words) I asked what she meant for clarification, i.e. if she meant assets/wealth/established career etc - and yep...

Occasionally. I used to feel a lot more envious of romantic couples when didn't feel like I'd ever feel up to having a relationship myself. While I'm still single, I feel like I could handle a relationship now and no longer have the same frequency or intensity of jealousy of others' relationships. N...

There's no way that diet can cure Autism. It can only help as it does with anyone to feel better and to be more healthy overall. Why not? Diet is about the only thing that ever cures anything.. it's all about what we ingest. When you eat/drink medicine, does it not cure you of whatever ails you? Ho...

While I've cheated a bit on my diet over the holidays & I haven't been as intense about it w/ as many soups/teas over the last handful of months, I've been following a very similar diet for about 2 years now. I've not only survived on it.. but I've thrived. Seriously. I'm way healthier and stron...

While not romantic relationships, I agree - my relationships with a few of my best & closest friends definitely make my life better. Even if I don't have the opportunity to go visit one or more of them for a while, just thinking about them is enough to boost my mood & motivation to do things...

I have followed an extremely similar diet & treatment protocol over the last couple of years and have had amazing success with it. I shared my story here on the forums last January and the general response was that people don't believe me. It doesn't change the fact that my symptoms are minimize...

Wearing a "mask" and acting one's way through social situations is an AS trait, so of course it makes sense that you've been able to utilize that trait to fake it through life so far.

What about shopping various underwear brands marketed to gay guys? Some "cute" underwear out there for guys. As for "cute" pants/shirts, hmm, I dunno - depends on your body type/shape. I doubt you'd really be able to go to a "cute clothes" shop and find a bunch of stuff...

Depends on what's stressing me, how I'm feeling, and what my options are. Go for a run. Go for a hike. Listen to music. Go hang out with my closest friend. Go visit my youngest God daughter & her little brother. Workout. Meditation. Reading. Watch a movie. Go for a bike ride. Go kiteboarding. Go...

No one "cannot" do anything constructive towards their goals - unless they believe they cannot; then perhaps there's some truth to that. "Whether you think you can or you can't - you're right." - Henry Ford. But once someone believes they can do something constructive towards wh...

[ What I meant was that any of those I quoted may not have had herbal medical treatments in mind as a means or process to their idealogical ends of self improvement, but would likely support or approve of virtually any means of self improvement whether medicinal, diet, exercise, reading/learning, t...

Sorry, but I can't understand why would you want to modify your behavior and not just accept the "quirks" you have with being on the spectrum. It sounds almost like you want a cure (I'm not saying that you are saying this, it just sounds like it). Because my symptoms weren't mere quirks. ...

China and Russia, two countries that practice folk medicine still the last time I checked and have awful medical coverage and facilities (may I remind you of mental institutions in Russia and the persecution of individuals who are disabled, among other minorities?) Also, I've had other side effects...

I don't get how antibiotics can affect your mental status. I have not read any medical claims that they do that. They are designed to fight an infection, which clearly wouldn't affect your mood. The only side-effect to antibiotics I've had is having more bowel movements during a day, which is commo...
