There is a bright side to finding out you have a personality disorder and not AS. At least, you can always find the bright side in a situation if you are an optimist, and it can't hurt to be an optimist. The bright side for this, I suppose, is that being diagnosed with a personality disorder may not...

I have had this same obsession. Now, I take Zoloft for mild OCD and anxiety, and school is now much less a source of worry for me. My grades remain fine and I will graduate in a few months. Try not to feel like you are on the verge of doom. Just do your part, fill out the necessary applications and ...

Zoloft is what I recommend as a first line of treatment. It is officially approved by the FDA to treat social anxiety. Lexapro is not officially approved for social anxiety. Zoloft's main side effect is that it can make you jittery at first. After a while, it subsides and you feel like yourself agai...

Seems unusual, someone getting extra friendly with you. What's in it for her? That's what I would be wondering. She has a boyfriend already. I guess her motivation could be that she wants to be your friend, but then of course she was not introduced to you and so she was not really invited to do such.

Does Hillary Clinton's continuing campaign in the US Democratic presidential primaries mean that the eventual nominee--whether it is Hillary, Obama, or an unknown dark horse candidate decided by convention horse trading--will very likely lose to Republican nominee John McCain in the general election...

Incompetent design theorists have been carefully analyzing all of the features of creatures and recognize that so many of them suck that an evolutionary process isn't possible. Whoever decides to call themselves an "incompetent design theorist" must have a thick skin. I'll give them credit for that...

What's this? A half April Fool's joke?

The part about George Bush supporting global warming is way more believable than the part about George Bush supporting stem cell research.

I personally think self-diagnosing your AS is more accurate than having some head shrink do it.

I personally think differently. A head shrink probably knows more about psychology and how to diagnose autism or AS than a lot of folks who think they do.

Start taking a few classes and tell people that you are a college student. At age 21 that should not be inordinately unusual anywhere for you to be unemployed while a student. Now paying for the classes is another matter. You might need to take out loans for that. With an education behind you (a deg...
