Wavefreak58, be nice. People need hope. When they grasp at false, trite, or silly things in search of something in which to believe, they should get compassion, not scorn. I am not a Wayseer, but I understand why one would want to be. I was not being scornful. I was speaking truth (as I see it at l...

Did anyone ever even look at your paperwork? How did your parents miss it? That sounds suspicious to me. Most of mine just hints at things, but someone in Chicago slapped an AS label on me when I was six. My parents finaly told me when I was in my early teens. I wish I had known earlier.

The closest I come to conquest is staking out new places to busk. Protecting and expanding the turf on which I play tuba is good enough for me. What would one do with the universe if one had it?

This whole thing is so stupid, that's why I posted it. People just can't stop blaming things for autism. It's been TV's, wood floors, rain, infamous vaccines, cows milk, baby formula, and it just keeps getting funnier and funnier. I agree, but I really want to know whether this is serious. It seems...

Off the top of my head, I'm not sure why you assert that the cause of Autism will never be fully understood, nor a cure implemented, or why you assert that Aspies necessarily desire social contact, or Aspergian teens are more empathetic than their NT peers... why do you say that? B/c not ALL people...

It could be. Rough neighborhoods never scare me. As a woman who might weigh 130 in jeans and boots the day after Thanksgiving, I have no fear of being out alone at night. I have dated creeps for longer than most people would have because I missed what would have struck a neurotypical as red flags. I...

I have more trouble with some people than others. Some people do make conversation that logically follows. Others are more random.
