TwilightPrincess is right. Despite how religious people sometimes try to frame it, atheism is not a faith. It's an absence of belief in the existence of deities.

Are you suggesting we should accept myths as historical record uncritically? All myths are based on some kernel of truth. Like the old myth about dragons is based on people finding bones from dinosaurs. That doesn't mean there is any truth to the myth. The tallest man that was alive in mo...

In my opinion the difference between "not believing there are any gods/believing there are no gods" (atheism) and "not knowing if there are any gods" (agnosticism) is mostly a matter of semantics. I don't believe there are any gods - I feel pretty sure of that - but philosophical...

You should do strenght training if you don't want to get weaker. There's no way around that. True, but happily, having studied the subject for around 35 years, I can tell you it's actually a lot easier than most people imagine! A bit of history first. ask most "experienced" weight trainer...

I think "never again" is such a generic phrase and so often used in everyday conversations that I find the reaction rather odd.

Warren Zevon sang "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead", but it turns out he instead joined the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. I didn't know you could do that. He wrote a lot of great songs, like this tribute to light weight champion Ray Mancini.

Rule # Whatever: (This one applies to anyone, but I'd imagine that autistic people might do it innocuously, but it will always be taken as a red flag): Don't call women "females". That "advice" comes up a lot (not that I use the term female). But is woman really a better word? S...

my job has heavy lifting in it. exhausted on days off. can barely sit up. find it hard to make any slightest movement. That is not healthy. If possible you should try to take some rest during your working hours to be able to do some cardio and weight training on your days off. You need to improve y...

Last week I had a conversation with a psychiatrist in my country and he was concerned about "The Registry" and said it reminded him of Nazi Germany. He thought the American autistics should build an underground network and help each other with support and un-official peer-diagnoses.

Why would scientists be totally fine with extinct dinosaurs but destroy the remains of extinct giant people? That sounds like total nonsense to me.

I am NOT going on no F***ING AUTISM REGISTRY!! ! Do you even have a choice? :skull: No we don’t. They are going to pull our names from medical records. The self diagnosers are looking good now. How long has this Presidency left, at most 3,5 years if Trump can go the distance? Once he's replaced I a...
