I’ll tell you what I see in the debate about pm information: Cornflake could have simply repeated his own words, changed a word or two, and it would have fit perfectly into the conversation currently underway. Only Brictoria would have known there had also been a private conversation. That is proba...

Repeating one's own words that do not include any confidential information is not a privacy breach. Yes, it is. The fact that this conversation had place and it's subject are confidential information. Imagine your gynecologist saying to you "as I've already explained to you, fugal infection of...

Do you want reasons for your most recent ban discussed in public? No, thank you, I don't want a public show trial. What I want is to be able to reason, not just see my post being deleted because what I'm doing doesn't comply with your ideas and beliefs and then be banned for trying to defend my opi...

It's going to depend on the burger, surely? I mean if it's 100% grass-fed ground beef from a cut with a good muscle-fat ratio then yes, no reason why a burger can't be considered a healthy food. It's when people start using junk meat, padding it out with low quality grains, adding sugars and salt t...

WrongPlanet.net is not a democracy. It's also not a state. It's a community on a privately-owned site. And this is somehow justifies dishonesty and double standards on your behalf? You got me banned under made up accusations less than 24 hours after I accidentally stepped on your toes in another th...

My point is that he didn't post ONLY his own words - Had he simply posted only his own words , I wouldn't have cared... It's when another person's words, sent privately in the expectation\understanding that they will not be posted publicly, are posted as occurred here that is the source of the prob...

The internet and audio streaming has to some degree reduced the allure of pirate radio. When I'm in the car I sometimes listen to a local community station, one that prides itself on being somewhat lefter than I am politically, but I enjoy the style of music they always play with minimal chatter an...

Yes, moving in together proved to be challenging for me too. Weirdly, I can't even say why I did bother trying, I guess peer pressure and misbelief that it would make me happy. Now I'm confident I would manage much better than decade ago, would be able to make it work, but at the same I ask myself &...

There is definitely a pattern of taking advantage of young naive but capable coders. Less likely to happen if there is any sign that you are an old bird. How do you assure that your clients don't stiff you on payment? Easiest practical solution - use platform offering escrow service. Third party wou...

Last time I was heavily involved in development we used test coverage kind of as part of specs at the start. I would write majority of test coverage and it was handed out to coders who were billed hourly for implementing this stuff, they normally didn't write tests themselves unless something change...

If you believe you can't be happy because you can't find love, you are wrong. It's the other way around. Being depressed prevents you from finding love and having a happy relationship. Let's address some common fallacies. Fallacy #1: Being single makes you depressed Truth: Neglecting your basic need...

Take out the fat and carbs, and only fiber and protein would be left. Did anyone else ever taste one of those high-fiber protein bars? :eew: Take out fat or carbs and it becomes much more healthier. Burger without a bun is actually pretty healthy in general. There still might be some nasty s**t fas...

I work at I guess what would have been a dream company for me... dream job, not so much, I don't particularly enjoy the work. It was somewhat manageable before and there were a lot of tasks that were semi-repetitive so it has been fairly easy up until now to just kinda coast along. The last year or...
