The original stuff was partially inspired by The Electronic Revolution by William Burroughs, which basically is about cutting up and splicing together disparate kinds audio (like love songs with noise) to break people out of conditioned mental states and bring about a kind of enlightenment or increa...

Oh boy, I just read the first few pages of this thread. Evolutionary psychology. This morning I read the The Delicious Grace of Moving One's Hand by Timothy Leary (kicked out of Harvard so you know he's worth paying attention to :P ) and I found what he had to say really interesting. I feel i...

You have to eat a certain amount of calories just to get all your...

Heh, from the outside at least, Woody Allen looks like someone with autism spectrum characteristics, but I wonder if the profession of movie director is what attractive to people with these traits more than anything else? The director is very often described as not caring about the actors and only a...

I don't like the cutesy labels either, but you're perhaps shooting yourself in the foot by using a negative label. Having a positive attitude may not be logical, but if you can bring yourself to do it, it helps. I practice being kind to myself everyday and not only does it make me feel better, anyon...

Hysteria, anyone? :x 8O ) So in this case "extreme male brain" means logical, orderly and (at least) a desire to appear rational....

I felt a lot better/more productive and more in control of my own feelings when I started making music rather than consuming it. If you have reasonable social skills/tolerance towards others it's also not a bad way to make friends and meet new people. If anyone does try their hand at making music it...

I've actually been reading on here hours a day for the past month or so. Some things I can relate to and some I can't, but it's easy for me to pick out a lot of little details that I can at least semi-relate to. [...] Also, some questions ask me to compare my feelings with those of other people and...
