I've had a situation with a person who would accuse me of hurting their feelings by doing "x". But I know I didn't do "x".

Then they accuse me of invalidation when I say I didn't do what I didn't do.

I can't win. I can't win.

Mom got called to school once...

Apparently I told everyone in class that [Santa] wasn't real.

My 2nd grade class teacher told mom that children need to have something to believe in. :(

Sorry folks I didn't return to this thread for a while. I have read each and every post here, and I appreciate the bittersweet honesty of self-evaluation in these posts. This is probably the most sincere and heartfelt thread I've ever read on WP.

I hope it carries on well past my time. :)

So even at 40-50, we're nowhere near 1/2 way through living My understanding is that life slows down in the old age, so even though you might live long, there won't be nearly as much going on. I know my life had slowed to a crawl in recent years, pretty much right after college. At this rate I've d...

Regret mostly. Anger with myself. I spent most of my life avoiding things, avoiding social situations, not putting myself out there. In my 20s I was basically a hikikomori . I'm doing fine now, in a relationship, have a stable job, etc. But it took so long and I can't help wonder how much further i...

I do feel very nostalgic about my childhood though. I'm always wanting to go back in time rather than forward. I relate, I was happy as a young child. I guess in a way old folks do pull the mental Benjamin Button. I think maybe that's part of happy old age. I became miserable once I started thinkin...

https://wrongplanet.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=411764 That thread inspired me to post an idea I had years ago, around 2015. It seems I won't ever finish it, so maybe someone else will. If I get credited for the original idea, that would be cool. The backstory: I was reading Internet stories about th...

I didn’t even have to show my report card to my parents at the “special” high school I went to. I did better in college than I did in high school. A-minus GPA versus about a B-minus average. Made the Dean’s List many times, but never made Honor Roll. Never been on Honor Roll, but got Superintendent...
