Most pediatricians I have encountered have been excellent.

By the way, pediatricians do not generally give the shots nor do blood draws. The nurses give the shots and blood draws are usually done by someone from the lab.

I doubt it. I've never heard anything about autists making excess y-chromosome sperm.

That sounds awful. I'm so sorry you're going through that, Joe. It definitely sounds like you've caught something nasty. Try to rest and drink some of those Ensure type shakes (just don't get the vegan ones. Trust me.)

I would be happy to talk with you, but in writing. I find telephone calls very stressful and really only do them if absolutely necessary.

Her anger is at people who she feels doesn’t take “climate change” seriously enough. How does she know whether they take it seriously or not? Easy, because they haven't even remotely solved the problem. "All she can do is judge their attitudes by their actions." Yes! Which leads to the co...

As for Greta having answers to specific questions, just because she thinks global warming is going to kill us all doesn't mean she knows how to fix it. But if she doesn't know how to fix it, then how can she be angry at others for not fixing it? Maybe they don't know either. The whole premise of he...

P.S. I remember a few times when Greta actually said that if people were to understand how dire the environmental issues are, they won't be talking about anything else. Thats where she discreditted herself right there. So she never heard of terrorism, she never heard of economic crisis, etc? ... Gr...

Funeralxempire is correct. The article is actually interesting. Biology is super-complicated and few drugs are so simple that they do only one thing. That's why side effects exist. Of course, whether something is the effect or the side effect is entirely a matter of what you're trying to do. If your...

Good luck with your job! If clothes are an issue, maybe you could wear one set for walking and change when you arrive.

I do think Greta herself is genuine. Everything I have seen from her is consistent with what I have seen from my own autistic child. Children get ideas into their heads and it is very, very hard to dissuade them. In Greta's case I don't think her parents manipulated her; I think they recognized thei...

Interesting question. Here's one my son does:

All or Nothing
Things must be perfect or else they are awful. Even the smallest imperfections cannot be tolerated. "Not my favorite food"=terrible. 1% risk=way too much risk.

So autistics aren't "more likely" to get physical conditions than the general population, we're just less likely to receive the proper treatment due to the reasons stated in the OP. The title of the study is more scaremongering than the actual truth itself. The article says, "The stu...

My son loves cats and I worry that one of these days he'll try to follow one into someone's backyard.
