Of course I've used the term derogatorily. I very much derogate NTs.

Nowadays I hardly make any verbal faux pas anymore. I used to make 1 every word I uttered. But today I censor myself and before I say anything I ask myself: Is it interesting? Is it the truth? Is it intelligent? Is it deep? If I answer yes to any of the questions, then I don't say the thing I was go...

I don't want to cure it, but my inability to be shallow and short-sighted makes my life miserable.

Yes, I feel invisible a lot of the time around people. I think maybe it's because I've been so rejected that I turn myself off or something.

I agree about the non-manipulation of others to make them do what is not in their best interest. You explained it wonderfully.

We live and let live. A good example is that snide remarks are isolated events in the WrongPlanet forums and overt, rather than the general tone of the boards and covert.

I absolutely believe that we have to keep changing environments as we learn from our social mistakes. It's hell to try to stay and improve the relationship. The kind of social mistakes we aspies make are "that's it" for too many people in a group. This is from my experience. I've tried and tried to ...

All through the summer, for like 4 months, I wear the same 2 sun dresses (except for work). Have worn them for 4 years. I research each trip I make for months in guide books and the internet. I plan even where I'll eat and what I'll do each hour. I love choosing what I'll see and how and when. I som...

Food tip: It used to be that supermarket house brands (aka generic items) were less expensive and almost always not as good as name brands. Not true any more, the house brands are almost always as good or better than name brands; and they’re always less expensive. You might have to try different st...

But I mean those who keep saying on so many threads "if people don't like me, it's their loss". I know that for me, if people don't like me, it's MY loss. I get fired, salary never updated, pushed to leave, isolated and not knowing what's going on, noone to turn to for help, etc.

I don't understand how all those who say they don't bother to pretend earn a living. If I didn't make every effort to pretend, I'd die of destitution.

I hate the pecking order/hierarchy because everything is so boring. There's no room for spontaneous relating, sharing, communicating, discovering each other, etc. It's all set in stone, the stone of the NT herd: New on the job = you're expected to be submissive, all smiles even when hurt by bullying...
