Right, you make a good point about how it's unfair that women are expected to wear makeup and men are not. But you're not exactly endearing women who do wear makeup to your cause by saying that it ruins their faces and their 'essential beauty' (?). :P

It's annoying because while there are good features to it, I find it cruel when for example, a teacher says that one of my ideas is 'boring'. I don't know if it's normal to perceive that comment so negatively, but it seemed to upset me much more than it would others. I didn't cry about it (I'm refer...

To be honest I didn't find the article too bad. Aspergers to me is simply a label and I dont want to use it as an excuse, unless the affects of Aspergers are causing very serious social ramifications. Instead, for any problems I have had to date I have just stated the specific reason why it is a we...

Well, online people are judgmental about poor grammar, which you have, and people may focus on that rather than what you are saying. People like a well presented argument.

OK, It took about an hour to try to summarize this article in a way that I think gets the points across more clearly. I don't agree with everything in the article, but I certainly wouldn't call it "horrific." The author seems to understand that AS is more than just social awkwardness and is trying ...

If it's any consolation, I don't understand your teacher's question either. Does he know about your AS? If so, it's really unprofessional for him to tease you in front of the class because of how your brain is wired.

After looking at the online stores I wanna get one too. I'm half tempted to shave my head so I can buy one, ha!

You don't need to shave your head; you can wear a wig cap.

Real hair is better. It's expensive and hard to take care of. But it's better than synthetic hair, since synthetic hair is not really brush-able.

You can brush synthetic hair.

Today my roommate who also has Asperger's told me that she has been throwing up after she eats (on purpose). I told her that it is a serious eating disorder, but I'm not sure if I can believe her. First of all, I haven't noticed her going to the bathroom right after eating. She does go to the gym e...

So even at the last appointment I went to when I talked to the psychologist, she commented that I did seem very intelligent but seemed rather uncomfortable about it...and its not the first time I've had people make that comment while seeming a bit intimidated it seems. Are you saying that she thoug...

Hi. Just wanted to introduce myself. A couple years ago, I started reading about Asperger's syndrome, and was surprised when I looked at the list of symptoms. I seemed to identify with a few of them quite a bit. I've never been diagnosed, and I'm not sure if I even have it or not, but like I said, ...

Im quite good at reading non-verbal cues, I can tell when someone is bored ,for instance, by their body language and their gaze. I can also read emotions in the eyes and body. My eye contact is not too good because I get extremely anxious when looking directly at someone. Is this typical for all as...
