Are you looking at the front page? The blog posts there haven't been updated since 2018. The site itself appears to be inactive but the attached forums are active and there are plenty of people posting daily. |

I like rats. We used to have chickens and a duck and if you keep poultry it's kind of inevitable you'll have rats around too. They're pests but j always liked the way they look. They have nice faces. |

I read that humans must have been generally co-operative since we evolved, rather than competitive and selfish, or we wouldn't still be here now. But it looks like competitiveness and selfishness are now increasing. Increasing as a response to the way we've constructed our society, I'd say. I doubt... |

Love/hate. I like KFC and some of McDonalds but I feel bad about eating it because its not good food or well-raised meat and I once I've eaten it i tend to feel pretty crap.

The original application of genius was to a specific ability, not to the person. It was like an external entity who helped you with a particular thing. So you'd say "He has a genius for mathematics" or whatever. I prefer that usage. |

I'm starting to feel like its an act of worthy subversion to celebrate Christmas wholeheartedly without paying attention to the commercialisation of it.
The adverts are cynical and manipulative, but you can switch them off, and you should. |

I'm not sure these have to be contrasting opinions. You can be highly intelligent and lack the executive function to focus that intelligence in any useful way. I'm not saying that's you, I don't know you. But perhaps the first person sees your intelligence and the second is blind to it for some reas... |
