I like snow, and I love deep snows unless they seriously disrupt things. I especially like snow when there are cancellations and I don't have to get up early. I love a snowy weather forecast and waiting for those first flakes to arrive outside the house. I love the quietness of the surrounding lands...

Hi Borromeo. The tabletop one is a whitish color, no horn, and has two doors which open on the front. Both it and the Silvertone sat in a storage building for nearly 40 years without ever having played a record. They belonged to my grandparents. I got them along with a bunch of the old records. Both...

Thank you Fnord, I think I have a better understanding of it now. It definitely sounds like a science fiction topic indeed.

Oh gosh, not motivated at all to write this post. I think it's possible, that at least for some autistic brothers and sisters, that their adventure here in Hellland is mostly a way to taste the colours of Neurotypia. You are waiting some thing you don't know anything about. Or, you are waiting for ...

For me it is even numbers. I tend to favor 4 or 8 if it is a favorable volume level. It is like with potato chips for example, I tend to keep the number of chips I eat in multiples of 4.

Hi Borromeo, sounds like you have quite an interest in the old so-called talking machines. I have a couple ... an old table top RCA Victor and a Sears Silvertone stand up cabinet model. I love a lot of the musical selections you listed ... very interesting.

I would definitely recommend the aforementioned Carnival of Souls and The Haunting from the 1960s. Also, as mentioned before, the Vincent Price classic House on Haunted Hill is hard to beat. Though not involving a haunted house in the ghostly sense, the 1932 James Whale movie The Old Dark House invo...
