| I was 46 when I was formally diagnosed as AS. Forty years ago, I was tentatively diagnosed with "childhood schizophrenia," though my parents put a stop to the school district doing any more testing on me. |

I feel like I finally became an adult in my early forties, and I'm just learning to deal with social situations in an effective manner.
