New Age "Spirituality" has always been a bogus concept, with practitioners fooling each other as to how much "spirituality" they claim to have. Personally, I found it useful for providing personal income from gullible clients, every one of whom was a "Seeker". And, as ...

The Internet is only a tool.  The people who use it can be more destructive than helpful.  Internet users have only as much influence over you as you allow them to have -- do not let them do your thinking for you.

There is but 1 plot in all of literature: "Something changes, people react, conflict ensues."

Have you performed a Google image search?

Maybe the girl in the picture is well-known by others, and they think it weird that she would be YOUR girlfriend.

Oh, of course . . . now that we have a GOP-controlled House, the GOP-controlled SCOTUS would release Orangeman's tax records.

Amateur radio, bicycling, camping, hiking, model railroading, and role-playing games (AD&D, GURPS, Traveller, et cetera) have been big in my life.

It seems to be that common interests will bind people together as a team, even though they may have differences in age, culture, gender, politics, religion, sex, et cetera.  I saw this while working in a university physics department and in the comms section on board a Navy vessel.

Yeah . . . no . . .

Die Hard (IMHO) was just an action-adventure movie set against the Christmas season backdrop.

Sorta like how Outland was a cowboy movie set against a science-fiction backdrop -- the story took place on Io, a moon of Jupiter, where the sheriff went up against the bad guys.

STEM workers tend to have a sense of community (if not fraternity) with other STEM workers.  Even a non-STEM "muggle" can find his or her place with a Ham Radio license or a knack for using techware. One of my best workers was a woman who could lay out (by hand) a multi-layer printed circ...

I think i'm about ready to throw in the towel and go back to being a lazy atheist. Christianity has been hijacked by Trumpism while neopaganism has been hijacked by the woke movement. What's the point in trying to believe in anything anymore now that it's all just a reflection of the s**tshow known...

Van Gogh's Sunflowers destroyed by oil protesters with soup. The $85 million piece was NOT "destroyed", although the frame did suffer minor damage.  The painting has been cleaned and is back on display six hours after the incident.  The perps have been arrested for criminal damage and agg...

From my direct experience, a well-spoken (or articulate) person enunciates clearly, uses proper syntax, and expresses a sesquipedalian vocabulary with ease.  This is often mistaken for condescension or an affectation of mental superiority.  Someone with this 'quirk' has a way with words and can exp...
