He's a historical figure who is very important to learn about, given that what he did should never be repeated, so no.

My own interests tend to be very frivolous, so embarrassing in that sense.

I relate to juggling too many balls at once. I'm not good at joining in a group conversation. I even miss the beat when someone else has finished talking and it's okay to chime in, so I could only do it by interrupting. But in a one on one conversation I can do okay if I am laser focused, although t...

I think you did the right thing for you. Try not to let it eat away at you. It's done, regardless, so even if it wasn't the right thing (and I think it was the right thing) you can't change it now. Relax! (If you can.)

I have a constantly changing sleep schedule that I cannot change, so it's not possible for me to have any kind of consistency, but I also don't crave it. I'm fine with my days being unstructured.

It sounds like you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself. Can you try to be nicer to yourself? Would you be putting that kind of pressure on someone else? If not, then why do it to yourself. It also seems like you might benefit from seeing a supportive and understanding therapist. They can help y...

What has helped me is to try to be consciously grateful of the good things I have. Some people suggest writing them down, but I find that's sort of like keeping a ledger and it invites comparing your "blessings" to those of others, so I try to be more generally grateful. This can include b...

I've been watching All Creatures Great And Small on PBS Passport. Very wholesome but still a bit stressful at times.

I just cut my own hair. I can't stand someone messing with me, and I don't know what facial expression to make or what to say. It's all incredibly uncomfortable. It's almost as bad as the dentist.

I have an uneasy feeling most of the time that is anxious and scared, but more specifically if there is something actually scary I feel like I can't handle it. I'm afraid of being in a car on the freeway, though I do it. Recently there was a terrible storm where I live, and luckily there was enough ...

I've always lived in cities and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. If I was alone it would be particularly hard. If I lived with my partner I suppose I could live anywhere, but it would still be preferable to me to live in a city. I don't go out much but I like to have the option to go out to ev...

My own driving ability is limited, so this may not be useful, but I would start very very slow. Practice in an empty parking lot to begin with. When you are comfortable with that, try driving on small side roads with very little traffic. Then when you are comfortable enough with these easier situati...

Personally, and I don't know if this reflects how other people feel, I'd rather see someone start a new thread than revive a thread from years ago. It feel jarring to reread and rehash what someone said five years ago, and what is the point, since they are likely not here anymore.

I'm so sorry that you're feeling this way. It's hard to have a foot in both camps: the NT world and the ND world. I think I understand how you feel, though for me it's not quite the same. Hang in there.

I don't have a diagnosis but I first suspected it at age 31 when I read a book about mild forms of autism and recognized myself in some of the descriptions.
