I think an in-person assessment is preferable. That way the the person doing the assessment can observe you better (eye motions, facial expressions, body-language, etc.) I'm in the U.S. I was told that to get a formal diagnosis I needed a licensed psychologist (I assume a psychiatrist would've worke...

Welcome to WP! And I hope that you got a late diagnosis means you were doing okay without a diagnosis but the diagnosis is still interesting. That describes my experience, anyways. I was diagnosed at age 64. My diagnosis is mostly only good for entertainment value. My favorite part is sometimes gett...

Hello, V6079! Life for me got a whole lot better when I retired in 2011. Though, somehow, now I don't seem to have enough spare time to do all of the stuff I should be doing. At least I'm generally not working too hard on the stuff I should be doing. In other words, things are generally good for me ...

Last night I watched: Frozen Alive [1964] <=> "Suspended animation or death!" Very barely better than boring. What I found most noticeable was actor ages. IMDb lists nine male and two female actors for this film. One of the male actors in a minor...

I was tested (MBTI-G) in 1990 8O but I believe the results then are still applicable to me.

    E: 3 / I: 24
    S: 8 / N: 19
    T: 26 / F: 2
    J: 19 / P: 8

I don't see percentages on my test report.

Welcome! I hope you like it here. And, personally, I suspect that if you do not have some compelling need for a diagnosis then you might be better off without it...for a few decades. If you get the diagnosis now then people will likely judge you based upon it. And some things might become unavailabl...

Welcome to WP! I hope you do stick around. I have mixed feelings regarding when is the best time to get a diagnosis. - Obviously, if someone needs treatment or formal accommodations then they need a diagnosis ->-> (If they can get by with informal accommodations then I'm not counting that. ->->-> Fo...

I kind of relate to Astrid from Astrid et Raphaëlle . My symptoms are similar to hers but much milder. Her job would be wonderful! Working alone in that huge records repository. I have been watching that as well. But I enjoy it more for the mystery aspect than the autism representation. Especially ...
