And your psychologist might just be a moron. I once had a psychiatrist tell me that even though I have meltdowns and sensory issues and everything else, I could not possibly be autistic because autistic people don't have emotions. And they get paid so much more than I ever could. Go figure. |

I don't think meltdowns and high intelligence are actually required to be Aspie. Neither is the opinion of a psychologist who does not know what she is talking about. |

Giant Hockey Fan, you just gave me a good laugh. I misread your post and at first I thought your dream was to be an elevator operator. That is just as noble a job as any other but when I reread your post and read it correctly it made me laugh. Two VERY different professions! :D I can't imagine why ... |

I also just discovered the other day when I was driving and I needed to headbang that if I tighten my fists super tight it releases tension in a similar way as well. That is a great way because it is very discreet and I can do it anywhere even while driving. And it hurts less and I can't get a concu... |

I tend to keep my mouth open all day, even while eating, because I don't like the sensation of breathing from my nose. Even when I'm not congested, I think I'm going to suffocate. Then, I end up with bad gas (both ends)and my family thinks it's a food allergy. How do I prevent this? Try eliminating... |

I roll my eyes out of frustration. I blink because it's natural and subconscious. |

Didn't Temple Grandin invent some kind of pressure machine for cattle? I would like one of those. She did not invent it. She discovered how wonderful it felt to be in it. It's a special cage used to keep cattle still while they are examined by a vet or something. It wraps around them like a big hug... |
