And your psychologist might just be a moron. I once had a psychiatrist tell me that even though I have meltdowns and sensory issues and everything else, I could not possibly be autistic because autistic people don't have emotions. And they get paid so much more than I ever could. Go figure.

I don't think meltdowns and high intelligence are actually required to be Aspie. Neither is the opinion of a psychologist who does not know what she is talking about.

I also just discovered the other day when I was driving and I needed to headbang that if I tighten my fists super tight it releases tension in a similar way as well. I tend to keep my mouth open all day, even while eating, because I don't like the sensation of breathing from my nose. Even when I'm not congested, I think I'm going to suffocate. Didn't Temple Grandin invent some kind of pressure machine for cattle? I would like one of those. She did not invent it. She discovered how wonderful it felt to be in it. It's a special cage used to keep cattle still while they are examined by a vet or something. It wraps around them like a big hug...
