I'd only feel that I was going to "get caught" and have the person think I was mocking them or something. That's certainly what happened when I was talking to someone with cerebral palsy. (the cerebral palsy bit was a joke by the way, but the rest wasn't, I'd feel too self-conscious doing ...

Is 33 too young for a small mid life crisis? I'm really over weight, I have no self esteem or respect, plus I feel helpless because I can't help my best friend move faster into government housing. Sounds more like general depression to be honest. A mid-life crisis is usually depression brought on f...

"Borderline Asperger's" sounds like something someone would label themselves. I doubt you'd receive that as a diagnosis, so if this person is self-diagnosing that they have "borderline" AS because they have some "traits" then no, they're not on the spectrum.

If anything, that only makes them less credible, it honestly sounds like advocacy resarch. Especially when their number is 1000% bigger than BJS. BJS is the gold standard. It's not possible to have statistics if it is not reported. That literally makes no sense. Out of all women surveyed by RAINN, ...

No, I mean the fact that you change the reason Trump got elected to suit the situation you are looking to politicise.

(spoiler alert: the *real* reason he got elected is democracy)

Tell you what, I'm sick of reading respected news outlets telling me what is known to be factually true at this time. Thank God I can come to an internet forum where people are much better informed, even knowing for fact the mental condition people were in right before they died.

No surprise there. The NRA's money got him elected. Really not rocket science given the current administration got swept into power on the backs of gun crazy nutjobs I thought it was the Russians? Wait...do you guys just flip-flop your opinions in order to politicise a tragedy? That's pretty sad.

Wasn't the gun used illegal to own anyway so already "controlled"?

But isn't it weird that even in a supposedly progressive Europe there's still some countries with compulsory military service for men? Not really. Maybe the reason we're so apathetic to losing our freedoms and our identity is because we've never had to fight for them. I don't know if it's misogyny ...

You don't need to be a conscientious objector in the UK, there is no compulsory military service so if you don't want to do it you just don't. There is no stigma or shame to never having been in the military in the UK.

There are some things there that might indicate ASD but the eye-contact thing could well rule it out.

Just focus on your studies and ignore the politics. You do get a lot of those types at uni, young idealistic people who think they can change the world or something. When they grow up and start paying taxes they not only realise that they can't change anything, but that everything the believed at un...

This is too specialised for a GP to do anything, your GP will just refer you to a psychiatrist or whatever team they have locally that deals with mental health.

Yeah but they don't have to say stupid things like "It's not noisy at all." To an AUTISTIC person. It's "not noisy at all" to an NT but that doesn't change things for the person with sensory processing disorder. They don't have to, no, but be realistic, they're not counsellors, ...
