In mathematical olympiads students (usually 18 or younger) attempt to solve very difficult precalculus problems. These problems cannot be solved u...

I am not a mathematician, so I don't have a good overview over all fields of mathematics. But I find complex analysis and the differential forms approach to multivariable calculus particulary beautiful. There is an excellent lecture course by Theodore Shifrin covering multivariable calculus and dif...

These are my top 5 favourite subjects in maths 5: Precalculus 3 years ago I had lots of fun self-teaching myself precalculus. Whenever I see my old pre-calculus notes I feel nostalgic. I don't really enjoy doing the problems, I enjoyed the experience which makes it number 5. 4: Calculus 3: Competiti...

I do. At school I can't stop "peeling off" my eraser with my fingers. I also rub off my hair (on the head) root with my nails when I'm stressed. Do you feel an uncontrollable impulse to peel your eraser or rub off your hair? That could just be you stimming. Are you diagnosed with OCD? I t...

I can remember myself thinking that if I don't do something a certain way then something good won't happen. Like, if I don't run up the stairs without breathin...

I have decided to learn how to program this week. Currently I am enjoying it. I have made a extremely basic program using what I learned about inputs and outputs, it is a bit crude. person = input ('Enter your name: ') print ('I hate the name', person) I saved it as program.py and in the terminal I ...
