Interesting wikipedia link btw. I am intrigued by the idea of celibacy. I have heard of people chosing to focus on their spirituality however, I never entirely believed them. One of these people recently had a baby, so I reckon she didn't stick with it. I assumed they were asexual or just couldn't f...

I think that men should be able to read this section. There are things here i've learned about women's situations in life that I didn't know. I think that men need to know the sort of things that their wife/girlfriend/daugter/sister is going through. We need empathy, not secrecy.

It is very uncomfortable. I am terrified of my husband b/c he gets n a rage when I don't submit. I submit for my kids because we need a home and they need a father. I have gone to gyno and they can't find anything wrong. The Dr. prescribed me progesterone but the scary side effects scare me from us...

I forgot I started this thread. I agree with the thoughts on it being a matter of perspective. The thing that irritates me is that other people expect that even though I am a different person to them, I will somehow end up having the same experience of a relationship as they have had. One friend, on...

Dear you

Don't let the thick mist of sadness cloud out the good things you have.

I wish I could talk to you about this, but if I do it might make things worse.

Look after yourself and look after the ones you love.

I think certain people are being a bit harsh here. You shouldn't put someone down for deciding certain content on tv shows is not for them. I was a bit the same when I was younger. It wasn't a fear as such, more a feeling certain jokes of a sexual nature were crass and unnecessary. I used to hate Fr...

I don't think that's really an nt thing, more of a social anxiety thing.

I think you should read khalid hosieni's novel 1000 splendid suns, might change your perspective on forced marriage.

It's not like I have a lot of experience in this area, but as cliché as it sounds, I found someone that I "clicked" with and things just developed naturally - it's not something you have to learn. The main difference between Aspies and NTs seems to be that we have difficulty being with people to "c...

I undetstand, I felt like an old maid at 27. Believe me when you look back on the age you are now you'll think, "i was so young. Why was I so stressed?" Different people mature at different rates. Don't compare yourself to other people, it won't help. We are all unique. You are doing something posit...

No I couldn't do it. It makes me feel all tensed up at the thought of pretending to be something i'm not. I'm naturally a bad liar anyway. I would make a lousy salesman. I think that because i've spent so much of my life forming my identity and my morals and defending my beliefs that I couldn't deny...

I love sheldon. He's so cute. I've been told i'm like him. I was a bit annoyed coz I think i've mellowed over the years... Maybe I haven't after all If the depiction of sheldon's aspergers is not accurate then why do so many people jump to the diagnosis of aspergers, especially as the writers say th...

I always go when invited, i'm lonely, i'll go anywhere if its out the house, but I always hope she'll think to invite me somewhere along with some single male friends, but its always a room full of couples and i'm the odd one out. How does that help me? Just makes me feel weird and alone. I dunno wh...

I think you are very brave writing this on a forum where alot of people will not understand the motivating factors for your strong faith. I am guessing people are baptized into LDS church at an age where they have made a decision that this is the faith for them and are committed to it and your not s...
