I think once you are an adult, an Asperger's diagnosis is a little difficult unless your parents can remember specific things about your traits as a child. OK, I take what you are saying...however the question was really based on the whole Aspie thing of being comfortable not being in a super close relationship. Can I remind you that as I said, my husband did cheat on me, not only with someone irrelevant, but someone in my own family so I understand th... |

Look, I can understand that point of view. I stopped talking to one of my friends because she had an affair with someone...I found it totally distasteful. My point is rather that if someone is emotionally unavailable, that makes them a little easier to have a relationship with in some ways. Again, I... |

Sorry, maybe I posted a subject that was too emotive. But...I have had someone cheat on me so I know it's really soul destroying...however... many years later I now find myself in the situation of not having to commit to someone so I was just asking if it just suited some aspies to be in a non commi... |

Just wondering??? Does it help your non-commitment to emotions? |

I remember being really little, like around three and being obsessed with shoes (I hate feet, so anything that covers them is fantastic). I hated growing out of particular ones to the point my mum would buy shoes in a couple of sizes for me! I love high heels, and could not wait to be old enough to ... |

I have no idea if Bill Gates has AS or not, but I will say that if you are passionate about something, that can overcome a lot of hurdles in the social side of things...(becomes a problem though if work is all you talk about at "out of work" gatherings!). |

Instructions are fine, but also to be given the freedom to incorporate my own personal knowledge and research into things are good too. My one big piece of advice woul... |

Really slowly is the way to wake up for me - regardless of what I have to do. I have to let the world in slowly, I think and I just LOVE my bed so much! |

Mmm and sometimes I get really ashamed if I lose it with the person. I like to think I am in control of myself and then the next minute I lose my temper....it only really happens badly with one particular person. I think sometimes the more intense the feelings are the more I short circuit! If only l... |

I had a similar thing happen to me today and I was totally pissed off at the other person. I'm usually the most non jealous person...sometimes to my detriment. I think the problem is that I expect life to happen exactly when and how I want it to happen. When that person isn't there in the way I want... |
