Tell me if this is a unique trait. Beware of sudden or unexpected intrusion into personal space. I often get " YAHHHHH! DAD you scared me almost to death!". Even when he's snuggled up to me watching TV or reading a book. By the way, welcome, I think you will like this planet.

I'll say "Welcome" too even though I joined after you. Great people here. YES there are Aspy girls. I like that you can say how you feel. At least you know. Any thing you can say to let me help my 10 Aspy son learn to do that.

I'm new here too. Just joined today. liked what I've been reading and signed up. My wife and I, both in our latter 50's, are raising 2 special needs 10 yr olds. The boy has a dx af Asperger's. I would love to get into his head and know how his mind works. I never will. I am sure I am as puzzling to ...
