I moved about a month ago and have been really excited that the tree in front of my window (above ground) is often full of Chestnut Backed Chickadees. I'm getting to see eating, feeding young, and so on. Amazing!

Hi Radiodog. Thank you for that....really interesting to hear. I suppose in one way good to know that this may be a temporary thing that I can work through but potentially also disappointing in that it may take quite so long! I guess time will tell. Just have to battle on I suppose. Glad things wor...

There's always a big divide between the ASD folks who had everything else together enough to accomplish a "career" or long term employment in an area they enjoy -- and the rest of us. I look for suggestions and inspiration or at least fellowship from the folks who were/are ASD enough that ...

I went through something similiar several years ago. I learned then that it's quite common for people on the spectrum to crash in their 40s or 50s just from sheer exhaustion. Having to fake it and fake it and fake it, and never doing it quite good enough to make it a great deal of the time, and deal...

Basically I was taught to be prepared to take any available job. Be flexible. So I've worked on a dairy, in factories, cafes, mowed lawns... But now I'm almost 54, living in a small town at the bottom of the world, and I haven't worked in a decade. And I refuse to give up and retire. As I look back...

If you are Christian (and therefore have one form or another of belief in the Christian Bible and Bible prophecy), do you see all the events now occurring as marking (even if somewhat hazily) the beginning of the Great Tribulation? Jesus said there would be wars, etc., but they were just the "b...

The "right" and "left" ideas of political philosophy actually started dying a few decades ago, especially among younger people. It's not that uncommon anymore to find, for example, "right" wingers who still opposed abortion but support gay people. And "left" w...

I just netflixed all seasons of Voyager, will probably finish the last season of Deep Space 9 in another week or so. Then going to watch all seasons of TNG. Star Trek is really the only thing I watch anymore, and since I especially started watching it when I ate while working from home, it's now lik...

I love all the political drama going on these days. It makes my day to listen to people on all sides who do nothing but belch propaganda at each other all day.

What would be the purpose of an "A Frame" train? (not being snide. just curious). Seems a lot of wasted space at the bottom and limited head room at the top.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my technology, but I'm finding that I want more control over it. Like, I've turned off all the notifications on my various devices, except for 2 family members. I refuse to be run by AdTech and BigTech through how they've programmed my devices. When I'm wanting some information, the...
