I have two Apple IIe machines in my garage - haven't fired them up in a while. I have an old laptop a co-worker gave to me - it has Windows on it and I replaced it with Linux - I had to get it to boot from a floppy, load the hard disk driver then boot from the HD. I still have Linux on two 3.5 flopp... |

P.S. Have you made any progress? I tried to get your python running on my Mac but I couldn't get the pandas library to compile from pip. (I used Windows and Linux at work but have a Mac for my home use - not really built out for development - I bought it just to create my resume). I may try again wi... |

I posted a question about Snap Circuits and Arduino on the Arduino Forum. The only response I got was from a moderator who patted me on the head and explained that that was a Arduino Forum and what I wanted was a Snap Circuits forum. I don't think there is such a thing. What I was hoping for was a s... |

https://aws.amazon.com/vmware/ vmware allows you to to put a complete virtual machine on AWS (Amazon Web Services). You can put a Windows 10 guest OS in the vmware virtual machine - then you have your MS stack. When people move to remote hosting they often also want scalability - so you can add &quo... |

Cyanobacteria is mentioned in a youtube video I just posted on Linkedin. StarTalk: Terraforming Mars with Neil deGrasse Tyson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XdkKMhAdnA If you like to read non-fiction science you should read "A Case for Mars". If you like hard-science fiction you might li... |

The first time I read about a quantum computer I really thought it was a joke - like one of those long deadpan jokes from the Journal of Unreproducable Results. I later realized that it was not a joke. People are perfectly free to ignore things like quantum or decide that they are BS. People are als... |

My cousin once told me that the therapist she was working with said everything in your dream is you. Or an aspect of yourself. You are supposed to think of yourself as each person in the dream (and each "thing" too) and ask yourself "how do i feel as the Blank?". I remember once ... |

This reminds me of a quote from Treasure Planet (sort of a play on on the Star Trek quote) "I'm a Doctor not a Doctor" - Doctor Doppler If you drew a Venn diagram of people on the Spectrum and doctors (or medics) you would find that the intersection is not empty. You would also find that t... |

I would first try exporting the excel spreadsheet as text. I like tab-seperated text, but CSV is another option. I would then try write the python code to read one line at a time, printing each line. I would use RosettaCode to find reference code. Then when I was sure I was reading each line correct... |

One thing about Autism is that it has very many manifestations for many people. My 21 year old son is diagnosed with ADHD and ASD. He is in college taking classes which are very similar to pre-med classes, and is majoring in biology. His experience is that he needs to be better at time management an... |

Thanks, QuantumChemist - I kind of remember it like that but couldn't quite recall and didn't feel like looking it up.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy (in 5 books) has a lot of fun with time travel - and pokes fun at some of the ideas frequently seen in books and movies. |

I was just reading that social anxiety is more prevalent in ASD people. Medication like SSRI can help. The DSM-5 talks about hyper- and hypo-sensativities. I think that can apply to fire-alarms and touch, but may apply to emotions as well. I think it does apply to emotions for me. What I do is lots ... |

That would depend on how the recording was made. Analog recordings can have static and distortion - and movies have background noise. Digital recordings (like on a DVD) have "compression aliasing" which is kind of like digital static - and loss of quality. And humans are still better at un... |

I guess if I was the pilot I would want to be VERY sure before I changed the destination - even to a different airport. I only have about 3 or 4 hours in my pilot log book. From many years ago. If I could find it. |
