What DW states makes a lot of sense.

Just tell your potential date that you are living with your parents so you could save up to buy a house.

It would be better if you were in college, though.

However, like a few people said, it's not a "deal-breaker" by any means.

Hi Skibum What you stated is interesting--because I've had just the opposite. The advent of computers actually improved my writing, and improved my focus. In high school, in the late 1970's, I was too hyper to write a term paper. I didn't have verbal-type learning disabilities, though. I'm a good ty...

I wish I could offer good advice, so that he could get back on his feet. He can't just disintegrate into oblivion; that would be a waste of a human being. If I were close to him, I would perhaps be too aggressive in getting him to search for a job, any job. Maybe he could go into some kind of psycho...

This is an ironical thread, obviously.

If we didn't have enemies, we wouldn't be as grateful to have friends!

I would just stay away from THAT PERSON. Even on this site, one might run into unpleasant people--but the majority of people are at least decent. There's more than 80,000 people who have subscribed to this forum over the past ten years. I've only run into a couple of people who have been really unpl...

What's that got to do with it? I'm thinking practicalities here--obviously, if he had a kid, he wouldn't merely be thinking using him/her for his own purposes. I think it's a stretch to attribute that sort of mercenary-type thinking to me, or to him. Being a house husband would be a good way to acco...

For me, it's easy to orgasm. Sometimes, in fact, it arrives too quickly. Fortunately, I have tricks up my sleeve if it does happen too quickly, so my partner will be satisfied as well.

I hate it when my partner doesn't orgasm; I didn't fulfill my end of the bargain then.

Who are these "accommodating" people? Sounds like he's pretty fortunate, actually, especially considering what could have been. He could afford to rest, and get things sorted out. As long as he doesn't cave in to temptations like drink and drugs. He definitely needs a solid support system. Does he h...

I just don't feel good about somebody having more than one husband or wife. Maybe it shouldn't be illegal--but I think it creates lots of problems.

No, I don't think it's hopeless. I had my own place--but I still had some trouble because I was (am) short, lacked social skills somewhat, and seemed desperate. I only gained confidence with age and experience. Mostly, I said to myself: "Nobody's worth all that trouble!" Just don't lie not having yo...

To be honest, it would have an effect on your dating life. However, I don't believe it has the effect today that it had in the 70's-80's. Many girls/women are living with their parents as well. Truthfully, I hope you go back to community college some day. Getting a bachelor's (after completing 4 yea...

Nothing to be ashamed of. Are your parents dropping hints? I moved out when I was 20 because I COULD. I really wanted to get out of my mother's house! I wanted somewhere to bring girls! It was embarrassing in the 1970s-1980s to be in your 20's and still with mommy and daddy. Not so much these days b...
