It is not a matter of how many know but how influential they are in making Autism Policy. Autism policy how it is viewed will not effect as many people as Putin but as you say it will directly effect people on this board. 99.9% do not have any effect on the world but they are able to affect a mini p...

99.9% of people probably don't even know who Chris Chan, Cohen, and the blogging mom's even are. Amen. The interwebz is ONLY small pockets of reality spread out in infinity online..:) It's easy to COME TO believe that 1 tenth of one percent means anything, when in reality it means almost nothing at...

The people I know who are more negative don't seem to have the talent of figuring out all the things that could go wrong, but instead seem more paralyzed for doing things, because they think things will be too hard or go wrong, but specifically, they don't know what will happen. If someone knows sp...

I agree with this. My whole life, iv'e felt like because i'm autistic, I can't do anything. I'm never going to live independently, hold down a job, or be in a relationship. You can thank the media for that. They make it seem like once you're an adult, you're pretty much screwed. I wish I never knew...

This is a bit off-topic, but why does there have to be a clean version? I'd guess most people would want to hear the original version. Often they just remove the words so you are listening to half a song. You can see the "unclean" version(lyrics and video) on you tube if you wish. The son...

You should not feel bad, totally not your fault. You were pro active. You figured out something was wrong and asked for help.

Yes. In was born without any sense of timing. I am always being told I just missed an opportunity. The computers often break down the minute I walk in the store and I am usually behind the customer who has a problem and needs all the managers called. I spent the last year dealing with Vocational Reh...

Negativity and Paranoia were and still are to a lesser extent defense mechanisms for me for cognitive empathy deficits, particularly vulnerability to being used and tricked. Everybody was always telling me you are so negative and I would reply "I am just being realistic" because is exactly...

Female fronted acts were almost unheard of in 1970's Progressive Rock. Sonja Kristina was an exception.

only the bullies deserve to be bullied. The only way to deal with a bully is to fight back. Once they see you "turn the other cheek", they're going to keep bullying you because it makes them feel good and powerful. Open a "Can O'Whupass" on them, and they will become afraid of y...

Maybe this belongs in the Politics section? We are at breaking point - the current neo-liberal crony-capitalism government is trying to wash its hands of any social responsibility whatsoever apart from health and pensions for the elderly. The Republicans have been trying to get rid or cut back on se...
