Definitely don't worry too much about it. I just found out a year and a half ago. I don't have an official medical diagnosis but I know people who work in the field and they pointed it out to me and I self diagnosed from there. So I am pretty sure I don't need to bother with a medical diagnosis. I t...

LibriVox also has free public domain audio books. Since everything is user-submitted, you don't always get totally professional sounding recordings, but the good tends to drive out the bad. . Thank you for posting. I corrected the spelling on my post! :) I think it is great that people volunteer to...

...some of those dreams will randomly involve me losing my teeth. I have recurrent dreams of my teeth falling out, and yes they're horrible. I'll feel something in my mouth and then spit it out and it'll turn out to be a tooth and then shortly after that all my other teeth will fall out. What I hav...

Thank you so much for that link. We LOVE audiobooks. It's so nice to lay in bed together and listen to them. I especially love when Jim Dale reads them. Marlo Diane, on the other hand, (from LibriVox), not so much! But listening to audiobooks in bed at night is one of my favorite things to do. I won...

Thanks for warning me about it, not that I was looking to read it anyway. At least now I know to stay away lest I should want to gouge out my eyes with a spoon while undergoing root canal.
LOL!! although it might make good general anesthesia for the root canal!

I liked the book personally, and I also enjoyed Anna Karenina but it's been a while since I've read either. Perhaps this would liven it up a bit? http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51JxfXx0U8L._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_AA300_SH20_OU01_.jpg LOL!! ! Thank you frie...

...To Read Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice? - Sorry, I ran out of room in the title bar. :) I read this book recently because everyone I know who has read it has loved it. I don't get it. I thought the characters in it were stupid and shallow and I thought the story was a torturous, boring read....

I did not know. I just found out a year and half ago and I am 40 something even though a lot of times I feel, think, speak, and act like I am 12 or even younger. Finding out and particularly finding WP has helped me tremendously. It is very difficult to be "different" even when you are very "High Fu...

The more I think about this, the more I think you should give what I wrote in my last post a try. If you manage to learn and succeed, it will be a huge milestone and victory in your life and I think that would be so important and wonderful for you. It will do wonders for your self esteem as well and...

Anbuend, you bring up a good point but I think it can be applied across the board, not jut to those on the Autism Spectrum. Anyone can be duped and manipulated into committing a crime without his or her knowledge, it happens all the time. I think that each case has to be looked at individually and t...

I get this often. It is like a constant high pitch that gradually fades. But also I get a constant hissing sound that is not so intrusive but it is always there.[/quote I don't have ASD, but I have tinnitus due to a middle ear disease. I also have plane crash dreams. I have had those a lot. I have been on planes all my life ever since I was born and I am not afraid of them. In fact I have lots of friends who are pilots and I started learning to fly as well and I love flying. I'll hop into a cessna cockpit every chance I get. But I...

I think you should give yourself a month or two to try to learn to care for him. If your mum helps you, he won't starve. Talk to your mum about this and tell her you would like to try to learn. When I mentioned making a list of what he needs and trying to hold yourself accountable with that every da...
