I've been taking it for about a week and it works great for blood pressure and anxiety but I still have some problems with focusing. I just started strattera for that. (haven't been on strattera long enough to see the effects)

I take clonidine for anxiety and touretts and high blood pressure. It seems to work well.

I don't think reading negative things is necessarily bad. I think it is better to face problems and accept possible situations rather than keeping them in you subconscious. Sounds like your mom is worrying too much.
