and a false sense of how smart you are. Well that certainly put me in my place. If I had a strong sense of self it wouldn't matter, but because I don't the wide ranging views of how intelligent/smart I am aren't easy to cope with. Some see me as no more than a fool. Others see me as a person with '... |

^ ^ I was thinking that there was more to ADD than hyper/hypo focussing. ^ You're about as intelligent as I am. |

Very few replies Hopefully it's because hardly anyone on this forum has ADD. I'd rather that than it's because I'm disliked. |

It's been suggested as a result of a thread I started on a FB high IQ group that I may have attention deficit disorder. The thing is I can focus intensely on things that interest me. That's made me believe that ADD wouldn't be something I have. Reasons for thinking I may have are centred round diffi... |

Do any of you have a Reddit account and if you do, do you feel like there is a sense of mob mentality on the site? As you know, Reddit is composed of different forums discussing certain things which are known as subreddits. You can accumulate what is known as karma with the things that you comment ... |

I repeat: the actual concept of 'general intelligence' of general intelligence (hence IQ) begins to break-down from around two standard deviations above average - in the top couple of percent of the population. From around and above this point, therefore, ultra-high cognitive abilities tend to be s... |

I watched quite a lot of TV. When not doing that I liked reading the set of Children's encyclopaedia Britannica that my parents had bought. That started pre going to school. I didn't play with other children much, including my brother and sister. I'd say my activity level was definitely lower than av... |

Not quite the same thing, but what rattles my cage is the 'since the pandemic' increase in minimum spend needed for delivery +delivery charge,re the Chinese takeaway I use .It's not a large charge but (a) it wasn't done pre pandemic (b) it's about 10 minutes walk and <5 minutes via car, I'd guess(sa... |

Yet another Youtube using autistic person that I struggle very much to identify with. Without exception the failure to identify with them makes me doubt my diagnosis. They're invariably more extrovert appearing, self assured, and self confident than I am. |

I have been described as walking like I'm drunk. Something that worsens as my anxiety increases. I was never intensely afraid of falling until I had my two falls in October 2021. Given the time it took to find out I'd actually fractured my femur, and the pain was not 'psychological', the prognosis w... |
