Sums up the level of bias this judge had in this case and why he should be fired.

Early on I figured this might be a $ Billion storm - in part because real estate values here are astronomical.. so every crappy house that got destroyed costs $1M+ each. But the damage to highways and railways may far exceed that of homes - it's pretty catastrophic. Plane loads of Canadian Armed For...

But I don't think Rittenhouse is getting a fair trial, here, so I thought it was better to declare a mistrial so he can get a more fair and even one. But is a judge allowed to declare a mistrial, after the verdict is in though? Wouldn't that come off as the judge having a bias then, if he waits unt...

In an adversarial system, it is actually considered to be their duty to rigorously work their side of the argument, irregardless of the truth. No cynicism required. That's not how prosecutors are supposed to operate however, they are supposed to seek justice, but in practice they often go all out t...

I've listened to some fb livestreams of this. Totally nuts. The video evidence isn't actually video evidence because filenames and email/android compression.   NUTS. Good to see your part of BC hasn't been washed away yet. Home is on high-ish ground. 8) There was a flooded turnin...

150 people worked through the night to build a sandbag dam to protect the pump house from water surging across the border from Washington State. So far so good - they haven't lost the pump house and it's still pumping 2.3 Million Litres per minute. IF water rises and that sandbag dam bursts.. turn t...

There was nearly no evidence of flood water on my short commute home last night - all drained away somewhere.

Buuuut, other places are pretty much Atlantis rn. :/

Helicopter video of some of the damage done to the Coquihalla Highway (the highway my grandfather died building)

Umm, yeah. It won't be fixed this Winter.. or probably next year. Some MAJOR engineering challenges to overcome to fix all that.

The city of Abbotsford was still under evacuation orders this morning as water is still flowing down the mountains and rising.. This is what it looked like yesterday, and apparently it's still getting worse: https://scontent.fyvr4-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/258229924_10158636460873233_49224412230...

Gosh! I havent seen any of this in my US Washington DC area news. Maybe Ive missed it. I guess that you need to stay put, and to not drive anywhere. At least you still have electric power, apparently (else you wouldnt be here chatting on the Net). Why would I not drive anywhere? :? Just gotta stay ...

We're on our own now.. apparently. The only way to access the rest of Canada is via the USA - and the land borders are still kind of closed. Hmm, I wonder if any of these are simple clears Or if they're all engineering nightmares and we really can't have access to commercial vehicle (truck) traffic ...
