Wait a minute. You are at a board that serves people with a issue where men outnumber women by 4 to 1 and you think it is sexist towards women?

It occurs quite a bit right now because the DX criteria did not come out until 1994 but you can be sure that there were aspies around before then (considering that Asperger's original paper was done in 1944 and Wing's in 1981). I am sure that in another 10 - 15 years, those getting dx's when they ar...

In the USA, unless your company is unionized (and less and less are), you could be fired for simply wearing your hair in a way the boss does not like and you cannot do a thing about it. It is called at-will employment. As for unions, it is up to the employees as to whether they want a union or not a...

Depends on the laws in your state. The laws are also based on the qualifications of the person who will be doing the teaching in the home school setting (usually the parents). Some states are very liberal in that regard and as such, anyone can be a teacher, other states such as PA require that the ...

They probably thought he had taken some sort of illegal drug or drunk. Some aspie behaviors do act as if you are on something. The machine may be a device which checks the level of alcohol or drugs in the system. As for the noise ticket (which will probably result in a fine and no criminal record), ...

Ann does indeed touch on an issue for Autism but one thing is left out. What she does not realize that society is going toward a one-size fits all approach toward dealing with things and yet, people with various disabilities do not always fit the one size fits all. Yes, there are people with Down's ...

Ask Ted Kazinski what he thinks of solitary confinement. Of course, from what I hear, he is actually enjoying it and is finding it better than the cabin where we was residing in Montana

I have taken Amtrak for distance travel and possibly my do so again for Christmas. The first thing I would warn you though is leave alot of time between arrival at destinations and having to go somewhere (or to work). Although Amtrak strives to get the trains to arrive within 1 hour of their schedul...

The place is still running because the organizations that send children there do not want it shut down. What gets me is that the state in which this school is located in (and is allowed to operate in) and the state that send the most students to this school are very liberal states. The same politici...

Alright, enough is enough! If you listen to the Savage Nation Show from the archives on Talk Radio Network, you would realize that the 1 minute rate that was taken by Media Matters was taken out of context over a rant on the over-medication of people by doctors and pharmacutical companies. His opini...

I feel that in the USA, Mike Savage certainly has the right to say what he wants to say. We also have the right to decide whether we want to listen to it or not. I do not think the Mike Savage should apologize for what he said but if people decided to not listen to him anymore thus ending his career...

I do think you are overgeneralizing but it is possible for some teachers to be dumber than they let on at first. My aunt told me an incident with my cousin's algebra teacher where they sent out deficiency notices only to find out through conferences with the teacher that the teacher taught the mater...
