It seems plenty of people have main ambitions or goals in life that they are after. Whether it be a career path or they want to have a house with a family with 2 kids by the time they are a certain age. I admit never relating to having any ambitions in life. I know that makes me sound lazy, but I'm ...

I understand. Sometimes I feel positively ridiculous because I know I struggle with things that others my age (and much younger) do not to the point of embarrassment. Heck last time I tried to order drive through at McDonalds I messed it up and ended up actually crying in frustrated upset because I ...

Lol I asked my husband this question regarding myself, he said that "I'm like the hamsters when their cage is cleaned and they get angry and upset and reshuffle things" (hamsters like consistent environment and not have things changed around). Yeah I can be pretty bad with changes. Bigger ...

I've had major struggles with this throughout my life, probably because most of my life I didn't know about autism but knew I had problems and issues (social, sensory, not fitting in, much more sensitive in general than others, etc.) that I didn't see others dealing with and could not figure it out....

Is Xanax a benzo? I can see why you'd want to take 50-75% reduced amount, I took a dose for a medical thing I was super anxious about and it about knocked me out cold. I can see smaller amounts helping a lot in social situations making it not so stressful.

That is good, it is hard to make yourself get things done sometimes. I too have found listening to music while doing tasks or chores makes it easier or better (sorta like listening to audio books). I also have done where I've told myself "ok you're going to sit down and do this for x amount of ...

Thank you for the replies, it helps to hear that you all have difficulties too, though I wish we didn't. chibimaddy, that is a good way of going about it, just waiting until more true intentions come out. I often tend to be quiet rather than talk much (especially around those who aren't in my comfor...

It depends on the situation, but I've often been told by my husband that I tend to always take things the wrong way (that people say or do), and I even do it to him. I just wish there was some diagram or something that said: "if person says "xyz" and they have this tone of voice or lo...

What you said in the original post a lot of that I do even as an adult if the right triggers happen. I dont hurt others but have hurt myself (mostly scratching or hitting), and I dont do it in public, i manage to wait till I'm home or somewhere others won't see. The exception is my husband, he's see...

Funny I was just reading an article about HSP the other day. Sounds like alot overlaps with autism but not sure the concrete differences. My score was 25. Lots of the time I wish I could just hide at home most days.

Rubbing my feet together, I do this most every night before sleeping.

Rubbing soft fabric between my fingers (has to be the right texture).

Rubbing my hands or fingers together (easier to get away with in public).
