Many Aspergians are video-game lovers; so are many NT's. Both groups could become overly obsessed with video games. The difference, perhaps, is that Aspergians have difficulty transitioning from playing video games to doing something else . Gaming addicts have that same issue too. But just when do ...

Banned for not aiming at something more practical, like rationality or, at the very least, semi-rationality.

Banned because this is actually far more accurate than I would normally like to admit.

Banned because WP's servers can no longer accommodate the number of users it has and because you're the one in one in "K" users that the server randomly decided to boot.

A percentage of those starving people are fashion models who need a big plate of fried chicken. Banned for not fixing them a good meal. Hello, This might seem like a really basic (possibly stupid) question but does anyone here with AS ever feel patronised by NT's and what are some examples? I ask because I am a socially phobic NT and my penpal/friend has AS. We would love to meet up at some point in the future but part of my anxiet...

Are there aspies that are able to understand non-verbal communication and sarcasm as well as an NT can? TL;DR--If I understand correctly, yes. It is my understanding (though I am no professional) that one does not need to have every possible symptom of an autistic spectrum disorder to be diagnosed ...

In my completely unprofessional and inexperienced opinion, this temporary banning and coaching model does seem like a good idea in theory, especially given the intended demographic of the forum. You also raise a very good point about many bans being "temporary anyway." Out of curiosity, how would on...

I have developed decent enough eye contact for people to not have complained much about it in recent years. I do tend to look away when I am the one speaking; my eyes go on "idle" as my brain reallocates its resources to turning the words, concepts, and images in my head into speech. Usually, though...

hmm but I would say I don't fit in any of the types, and not even mixtures of them. I think there should be a cathegory for those more sensitive and creative. Like Dhp and me. I want to help to improve the model so here are my characteristics based on your descriptions of the other types: -logical ...

I didn't say anything about specific or vague. I apologize if I had insinuated that you did; the "specific or vague" comment arose from my own desires for the "Diagnosis" option. I actually agree with your sentiment that individuals with so-termed "classic" autism (or any other type of autism, for ...

The infrastructure of the website (i.e. whatever hosting/coding program they use) makes it very difficult to make changes to the website; they won't be able to "fix" it overnight. The owner of the website is currently in the process of re-vamping the entire website and moving everything unto a diffe...
