I have read lots of cases in which authoritarian governments that have violently repressed any opposition even non-violent opposition. I don't know why but I seem to feel torn when I read about government repressing violent opposition as though its doing it to defend itself and I seem to think that ...

I don't know why but I seem to feel more motivated to go out to places when I have appointments to go to, errands to run or after a short shift at work. I do a 10 hour contract at my workplace and I don't have another job other than this one. But if there are none of those things going on my days of...

I had a missed call from my dad and my sister told me that my dad needs his drill charger for which he left behind and wants me to give it to him but there is a problem, I don't have my car available as I let my uncle borrow it so he can visit my nan in France and he is back this evening. My dad liv...

I have heard the phrase: Another man's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter. I don't know if the same can be said of those people in a time of war who maybe are heroes to some but war criminals to others. When I think of a war hero, I tend think of someone who for example, saves or tries to...

You're too hard on yourself mate. I'm 52 and haven't had any kids yet but don't beat myself up over it. (although I do beat myself up over the many mistakes I've made in my life). I keep being told there are more older people having kids than ever before and for some reason that doesn't reassure me...

I seem to feel as though 20 year olds have all the time in the world to think about having kids but 30 year olds haven't. I worry about it because I may not want them right but that I might change my mind maybe 10 years from and that to do it then is not worth considering by then because the 20s and...

I a number of times I have expressed my worries about feeling I've ''missed out'' on things that are ''expected'' from people in their 20s and 30s to be doing and those things involve parties, drinking, sex, marriage, children and so on. I only feel like I'm missing out because I feel like I'm seein...

I don't know why but I remember thinking during the pandemic that things would be better once a certain amount of people got vaccinated or infected and the virus dies down even though it hasn't gone away. But since we've had stuff like price rises, rises in people's bills, wars in Ukraine, Gaza etc....

Yesterday my mood wasn't great yesterday as I was late for work and should have been there at 9:30 instead of 10. But obviously because I hadn't signed on to WhatsApp I didn't know it had changed as my rota said I started at 10. I seem to think the telling off made me feel annoyed at myself and had ...

I sometimes feel as though because I wasn't in a relationship in the 20s, it feels like I've ''wasted my time'' and that I should be experienced with things such as sex by now when it comes to new relationships. I seem to think that men feel as though they ''have to be promiscuous'' when it comes to...

If you are a dude, I would not worry about this at all. You do not have a clock ticking. I am a woman and I had my only child right after I turned 37. I had already finished all the adventurous stuff I wanted to do, so I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. My kid is a handful. I would n...

Right now my sister is staying round with her 4 year old son whilst her house is being worked on for a few weeks. I feel sometimes I get on with him well but then there are times when I find him annoying where he is running around, making funny noises and repeating videos and things on the phone. I ...

I had to walk through streets and houses that look like they have seen better days on the way to get a new cog for the regulator on my car. The weather probably didn't help either as it was quite misty today. Seen a few people on drugs or drunk in the streets around, places boarded up that had been ...

I know I've mentioned a number of times about worries and concerns about having kids but I seem to feel as though in my mid or late 20s, I still had no burning desire to settle down with someone, get married and start a family despite the fact that even then there were people of the same age as me g...

It surprises me as a non American and a citizen of the UK that most states in the US have the death penalty alongside more authoritarian regimes such as North Korea, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia etc. Russia doesn't even have the death penalty. The UK abolished it in the 1960s because of many miscarriag...

I seem to think that the war in Ukraine is not really ''our'' war, its their war. If Russia was where France is then maybe we would be more worried. I don't seem to think that Russia has any interest in wanting to invade the rest of Europe including the UK and we can't really make Putin seem like he...
