The late Amy Winehouse was often described saying and doing whatever she wanted without regard to social conventions and not understanding her celebrity She also was easily taken advantage of. So maybe.

The idea of ABA in most cases no matter much it is drenched in positivity is to change you into as neurotypical as possible. It often does what they want in the short term, long term well into adulthood there is just not enough study. I can't fathom how changing your natural behaviors long term won...

It really depends upon the individual. I would say most people with LFA, who would probably be called "level 3" nowadays, would be able to take care, at the very least, their basic needs (ADL's) by adulthood. They probably would not be able to live independently (except, perhaps, in a &qu...

I notice a lot things people don't have are Aspie stereotypes. If you have a IQ of 75 you are probably not going to do well in school. The core traits are going to present differently in different people based on personality and other factors.

Yes I have the issues and these Executive Functioning deficits are common in Aspergers.

I fail to understand why the link I mention does not mention Autism but it's description of whit executive functioning is, disorders and coping mechanisms are useful.

I lived undiagnosed through a several decades when there was a very strict definition of what was autism. The strict definition was not the result of cynicism but lack of knowledge. While living without the diagnosis had it's good points it was all the negative assumptions about myself I mentioned a...

I will never know for sure if a person is autistic. I can and often after some time suspect some people are and some people are not. If I went by your attitude and assumed everybody I interact with is not autistic there would no reason to join Wrong Planet. Never mind every member, I would have assu...

You seem to be confusing climate with weather. Weather is harder to predict because it can change hourly. Climate change is about observing trends over long periods of time. As others have posted, these scientists are talking about trends throughout decades, not predicting the weather next week. Sc...

So while the novels are decently realistic, they are realistic for on...
