Forum: The Haven   Topic: I bloody hate wrapping up presents

I just buy everybody books and CDs--makes it easy. But really, I do have difficulty wrapping presents. I try my best to recall how I see my parents do it and attempt for myself, only to use a mile of tape so the deformed wrapping can keep a relatively decent look. Then I'll put the bad side to...

It's not random, but I'll sometimes start crying about things that haven't even happened yet--hypothetical scenarios. Sometimes I'll cry myself to sleep because I'm happy, other times I'll cry myself to sleep because I'm upset or I remembered something that happened in the past that I never got the ...

The cool mist on my body during a rainy track practice. The repulsion between two magnets. Harmless but full hugs. Particular fabrics. The rubber grips on ball point pens. The wind and sense of weightlessness as I bounce on a large trampoline. Sometimes I really get into piano, too, so much that it ...

One might include "Away in a Manger, Alone" for Aspies.

Screamo, heavy metal, country, and overly emotional songs that are almost pretty.

I do wish that physical activity be required in schools, but I agree with most people here that it can be very difficult to have a worthwhile experience playing a particular sport that others are much better at. I've had that experience with basketball as long as I've had P.E. But with that said, I ...

There is so much in this world that one should be doing at any given time. For a high school senior like myself, I should be working as hard as I can on college applications. People should be responsible getting their taxes done. People should be planning in advance for a big presentation. You get t...

If I'm talking to one person in an otherwise quiet room, no problem!

But if any aspect of that changes, it gets difficult for me. One of the things that bugs me the most is having voices on the radio while I'm trying to talk to somebody in a car. That's downright impossible.

I remember my dreams a few times a month and write down what I experienced in a journal the morning after each one. So I guess I'm unusual in that I actually have a very good memory for dreams and am able to control nearly all of them. Dreams are fascinating, though! I always astound myself at how m...

There were certain sports that were actually pretty fun to play (badminton FTW!), but when we got into basketball... then, it was tougher. I also didn't like the awkwardness of the locker room, but that's a different thing altogether.

I have to say my sight. I don't want to jinks it, but people have always told me that my vision is much better unaided than theirs is with glasses or contacts to help them. Here's hoping it stays that way for a while.

They really don't seem to care at all. Especially my friends. It actually comforts me because I don't have to do anything different to accommodate their response.

I've been really good recently about calming myself down before something big is to happen. Yes, it will take me a few minutes more to sleep, but I wouldn't say I stay up late because of it.
