yeah, i'm in contact with one guy with autism, he says he never had a girlfriend until 32, he says, while glad he met her, he says he's not proud of the fact it took him that long, but it is what it is unfortuneately. |

I wonder how autistic men would feel if the tables were turned. What if it was culturally normal / expected for women to ask out men, and autistic men had to just sit there watching women choose their classmates, friends, colleagues, brothers, etc., but not them? I wonder if they would feel doubly ... |

I'm not trying to change the thread topic or say either gender has it worse. I just want you to know I understand how rough it must be for men. I've seen it first hand when my son has been nearly-suicidal over rejections and breakups. It's awful and I do feel badly for men, especially autistic men,... |

I've never had a girlfriend. I am the strikeout king. I'm just too quirky to have a girlfriend. When I knock on the door, my only experience is to get the door slammed on my face. Nevertheless, at 62, for some reason I haven't given up, yet. why do i get the feeling your a normal looking guy, anoth... |

people and society have long used this as the argument, reason, as to why people and society see it as a sign of weakness if man doesn't approach a woman, why approaching a woman symbolizes strength and courage on the mans part, here is why: "women know that men have risk rejection, face possib... |

Relationships are often initiated by non verbal communication. Someone who is autistic may not relalize that a potential partner is signalling them non-verbally and thus ignores the overtures that person is making. yeah, and that is something that i'm sure will always be the same, men having to mak... |

I will nearly be 35 in september and never had a proper gf. Do the majority of men on the spectrum remain single for the rest of there lives? what do you define by proper girlfriend? but yeah, over the years, that either seems to be the norm or just common for men on the autism spectrum, to remain ... |

as long as inequality exists in courtship and how relationships are formed between men and women, then sex workers will always provide a needed service for humanity. |

As in many of the threads i started here, it annoys or irritates me on how there is a word limit on what you can put in the "subject", when asking a question. Because that would turn subforum screens into walls of text. Your subject question can be fairly short: "Why many people with... |

yeah, if he uses paratransit, i would think he has other health conditions besides autism that require him to use that. |
