^Very well said, Flea!

A definite no. I think, if anything, it makes us more resilient, more appreciative for the “better” times. What it does do is make life harder.

My New Year’s resolution is NOT to make a New Year’s Resolution .

I hope to continue creating & sewing, as well as spending more time exploring Cornwall. As an ex Aussie surfer, I’m always seeking out the beaches & have just discovered one with great surf, this past year.

Your relationship with your parents will hopefully improve, once you’ve moved out, as usually happens. Leaving the nest is a natural part of becoming an adult. For those who will always need support, this is where assisted living comes in. After all, parents aren’t going to be around forever, & ...

Amsterdam. (2022) Mystery/Comedy. Brilliant mix of quirky & historical. Great cast with John David Washington, Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, Taylor Swift, Robert De Niro, Rami Malik & Anya Taylor-Joy.

^ Yes, very true. Some become agoraphobic and generally avoidant due to bad experiences in their communities.

Shutter Island. (as brilliant as ever!) Elvis.(2022 film) Really enjoyed it! Vivarium (2019 thriller) Woah! What a film! Moral of the story … never go house-hunting with an Alien realtor! 8O The Holiday (my favourite Christmas film.) Shot just down the road from me in Shere & Godalming, Surrey.

All the best to cybergirl with this transition! Hope all goes as smoothly as possible. Here in the UK it sounds similar, in that they do all they can to accomodate anyone with an IEP. Universities are very welcoming too, with or without the initial grades in certain subjects, as these can be caught ...

I can totally understand this, and how this would mis-allign your sense of Self(if it’s ok to put it that way). Remind yourself of all you have achieved & done in your life & this person cannot possibly know or understand the impact their words have had on you. Wish this had not happened to ...

Learning I no longer need to go to Armenia in January. Nothing at all against Armenia itself, but this would have involved nursing under extreme conditions.

Yes, and sadly, this is something we’re seeing time & time again. Innocent people going about their lives, learning at a young age, that pre-judgement & in the case of women, sexual harassment mean they must be vigilant when out & about.

Couldn’t agree more. I watched a program with an undercover female reporter just two nights ago, with “safety” at the forefront, and similarly, the two were intangibly critical! Can’t help but believe that the education system needs to step up & educate on treating ALL with respect from a younge...

For over 40 years, wages have barely moved an inch, while consumer price increases rise faster, and housing, once easy doable with one middle-income salary and with only 25% of take-home pay, is now an elusive pipe dream for many. Half of all Americans have no money saved up for retirement, and emp...

Sickening, isn’t it! If the man responsible were only able to, for just one moment, experience life from this Black man’s perspective. Some people seriously need educating & some kind of moral guidance!

^ I’m partially sorry that I missed that episode, Carlos. Heartbreaking about his situation, in that he’d likely be a whole lot happier if it were possible for him to remain living with his mother. Sadly, he needs to separate himself in this regard for both his mother’s & his own sake, as no-one...
