I'm getting ready to run a fiber optic line between the computer room in my building and the radio tower on the roof. The goal is to isolate the tower electrically from the computers inside so that a lightning strike at the tower can't take everything out through the network. Has anyone run fiber op...

It is kind of hard imagining a draft dodger voluntarily rushing into a building unarmed to face someone who is shooting people.

It might surprise you to know, but certain opiates are available over the counter in the US. which ones? Opiates are useful for dealing with diarrhea. For anti-diarrhea medications, they use opiates that don't cross the blood brain barrier very readily. However, enough can cross that they can be ab...

Well... even if the 2nd Amendment was revoked, there's still literally millions of guns in America. So lotsa luck with that. As for the notion that the right to bear arms is the only thing stopping America from being taken over by tyranny: that's a load of crap. It's a free press that defends our l...

What a crock of horse hockey. Firearms have their place and should not be banned unless you value nothing but tyranny. Do you think that you would be any safer if honest people didn't have firearms? You'd be easy pickings for whoever wanted to do whatever they wanted to do to you and there would be ...

If God does exist, we know absolutely nothing about God. Everything anyone has ever said about God reflects man's opinions, not God's. Nobody knows what God really is or what it (it doesn't seem very rational to assign an arbitrary sex to God) wants. When we study God, we are studying man's thoughts...

Roosevelt feared the German Americans, not so much because they would be more loyal to Hitler’s regime than to his own, but rather the opposite reason. Indeed, FDR would have loved nothing better than for all German Americans at the time to be clad as Brown Shirts. That way, they could be more iden...

In regard to the OP: I myself am an American largely of German stock on both sides. My family has had a long memory, and I can honestly say, I had never heard occasion of German Americans being targeted with discrimination in the WWII era, particularly by the government. Now, the WWI era was very d...

It's clear you've thought about this at great length, but you haven't thought about it at all well . You've taken every bit of evidence that would disprove your bizarre and winding conspiracy and twisted it to fit. There's been no critical thinking, no evaluation of how likely it is. Why would Roos...

This isn't really a weird dream, but one with an unexpected side affect. It hasn't rained in months around here. Our total precipitation for the last few months was 0.01 inches which is just an estimate and is not measurable. Sunday morning, I had a dream that lasted for quite a while that it was po...

I have worked for various small computer repair companies, some of which handled businesses. One complaint that has been the same from all of my supervisors, is that the clients complain I don't pick up my messes. An example would be if a customer ordered a new computer, and wanted me to come unbox...
