Extroverts generally, no they don't annoy me. However the ones who accompany their speech with non-stop "talking hands - particularly exaggerated arm and hand gestures do annoy me, I don't understand why they do it and I can't stand interacting with them beyond a few seconds.

One thing I have noticed is that when people are feeling anxious - and interacting with NTs is a scenario for anxiety for us - our faces reflect it in that we can tend to completely forget to smile, not realising how this lack of positive facial expressions sends a negative, off-putting message whic...

Ardern has some remarkably different attributes from other political leaders in the world. She uses her power to empower others no matter what their political affiliations. She is a uniter, and despises the politics of division - to her, the ethos of "divide and rule" is anathema. When she...

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's Labour Party is well on the way to setting an all time record in the whole history of NZ elections. No party has ever done this well before, so early (about a third of the votes counted so far) and what is most remarkable is that many of "hard core" conserva...

Trump brags about what a "great job" he has done with Covid management. An astonishing claim. There are 500 people working in the Whitehouse and nearly 6 million in New Zealand; yet there are more infected people in the WH than the whole of New Zealand. Great job? Yeah right. Believe that ...

Mr Trump, the much self-proclaimed "germophobe", seems not to care at all about infecting other people with his germs. That speaks volumes to me.

The USA doesn't really have a president at present. It desperately needs one.

This campaign appeal of the Trumps (both the junior and Trump himself) to build a personal "army" is spine chilling: https://www.mediapost.com/publications/article/352324/trump-email-invites-supporters-to-join-army-rep.html Trump has used his Twitter account to push for more people to regi...

I can't find it hiding in add-ons, or any list of active programs :( I have tried to block it using permissions on Firefox. So is it on the browser? It comes and goes, it doesn't routinely start up every time I start my computer, only sometimes. My computer knowledge is primitive, I don't know what ...

I'm sure older members here may recall a New York billionaire in the hotel business there famously said "Only little people pay taxes". Her failure to pay them eventually resulted in a stay at penitentiary hotel, which she apparently thought as a fate that didn't apply to elevated creature...

Quite a few rodents probably saved prisoners of war in Japanese POW camps from dying of starvation... one can hardly imagine how thankful they must have been for some protein, however scant.... Nice pic of Magawa wearing his gold medal (and some other photos): https://www.sbs.com.au/news/magawa-the-...
