Novelist.

I get paid for writing but it's corporate marketing type stuff. I'd love to get paid for the fiction I write.

True but it must be hard for a creepy person who has no evil intentions to be friendless because there simply misunderstood by others. No doubt but if you're a creepy person who repels people then the answer is to work on your own creepiness, not to insist that everyone else change their opinion of...

I'd imagine that depended on the actor. You can act well in a failed pilot and have that be a credit on your resume and put it in your showreel. I wouldn't think having a failed pilot to your credit is much hinderance to a future career, unless your acting was terrible. I think it would be worse for...

So. Why is that a man would date someone who is young enough to be his daughter whom he knew when they were either babies, toddlers or barely out of diapers. Lots of reasons. Some people believe that we choose partners based on their reproductive potential. Men can remain reproductively viable well...

I wear size UK 32 Jean's and I am 5ft7 1/2. In general though how can you tell if your fat?. My weight is currently 172 pounds in the morning without clothes If you're 5'7 and 172lbs it's unlikely you're obese, but you could well be carrying weight you don't need to. As the old wive's rhyme goes, &...

I feel exactly this, and pretty much always have. When I was younger I always felt behind my peers, not academically, but socially definitely. I remember feeling like I'd just learned the rules of being a kid when suddenly everyone became teenagers and they all started being too cool to play. And th...

"Trust different sources of information" seems like saying "Good people on both sides" -- people and opinions on opposite sides cannot both be correct; in a two-sided discussion, there must be one side that denies the truth and one side that relies upon it.  In this case, the tr...

To be clear (in case it isn't): I've no interest in defending Trump. I think he's terrible. All I'm trying to do is to point out that as individuals we likely have no experience of him. We rely on reports, opinions and curated information. We have to trust those sources. Our reasons for trusting the...

Trump’s record of lies in office has been well documented. By people who you have to trust to tell you the truth. Or at least not distort it by cherry picking facts that support their bias. And if you don't trust them, you can find an alternative news source which tells a different story, by cherry...

Hi guys, this is a first for me even though I have attempted many times to reach out and never gone through with it in the end. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve spent my entire life ‘dealing with it on my own’ or because I just don’t know what to say. I read that it’s easier for us to converse via...

I'm a C, I think. I can do business talk. I can do day-to-day social interactions (shop keepers, doctors, my kids teachers - that sort of thing). Generally I'm okay when I feel like there's a 'purpose' to the conversation. Close family (I mean my partner and daughter), I'm relaxed, I am myself. My p...

I'm not in the US and Trump makes me want to vomit but I don't find it hard to see why people like/support him. I mean the stolen election thing. My feeling is, that was probably a lie. I have no difficulty believing Trump lied about that. But I don't know. If I think I know, then I have to make a l...

Anything else with Will Ferrell in it. For years people would tell me how funny I would find Will Ferrell. I tried. Didn't do it for me. When I told people this the response was always the same: "Watch Anchorman - even people who don't like Will Ferrell love Anchorman." I watched Anchorman...

I miss the feeling that the internet was the start of something awesome and exciting and genuinely new. I miss the sound of my 56k modem dialing up. I miss that it belonged to me, not my parents or sisters or most of the other kids at school. I miss getting yelled at by my parents when they went to ...
