I don't think any doctor would prescribe benzos for long term seizure treatment since they can cause withdrawel seizures if you get addicted to them. Some of them are highly addictive too; I got hooked on Xanax in less than 2 weeks. It wasn't a bennie, but I got withdrawal symptoms from Gabapentin ...

I didn't make it to Algebra 2 until I was almost a senior in college and was close to getting my Bachelor's in English. Congratulations to you! I used to do well in math in elementary school, but lost interest when they began a "go at your own pace" curriculum that catered to the slowest learners. ...

I´m taking diazepam at the moment, which has anticonvulsant properties. I see no difference; I only take 2,5 mg a day, though. Diazepam and Temazepam and other benzodiazepines are funny drugs in terms of seizures. They are what doctors normally give people in status epilepticus i.e. unconcious in a...

I took an anti-convulsant for a while to help with a seizure condition (It wasn't epilepsy because epilepsy is when someone has seizures where the cause is unknown whereas the reason I had the seizures was to do with enecphalitis - a swelling of the brain) I had a really bad experience with the drug...

nah, f**k 'em. :) But seriously, yes, I have the same problem, I have trouble drawing the fine line between being frank and straightforward as opposed to being blunt and insulting. Sometimes it works out and sometimes I am left cringing and thinking 'why the heck did I say/post that?' I guess it is ...

I fail to understand why people are being so rude to MrMacPhisto. I agree with Mitch. Why are some people responding with insults and rudeness? I'm not completely sure I understand the problem he is facing, but he's obviously reaching out. Yes, and the pathetic thing is that this is an Aspergers an...

Can I make a suggestion? How about going to see your GP and getting them to sign you off work for a while because of stress? From your description of events, it sounds like you have enough going on to stress you out and also that you might benefit from time out from work as it appears to be a hosti...

Im pretty happy being a bum with no job :D To be honest; I would be too. I am ashamed to admit it because I used to have a very strong work ethic and would work really hard but then gradually I realised that my bosses didn't have the right to talk to me like a dog and I started to lose the will to ...

And thanks, I am an absolute math nerd, I am considering changing my major to math or physics out of Computer Engineering but I really don't to be a math teacher. And engineering will allow me to make enough money to retire early and get some remote place out in the desert to realize my life long d...

I tend to remember more digits of 2pi then pi as it is more fundamental and crops up more in calculations and whatnot.

You might be an aspie if your favourite books are your textbooks.

...If you hate the word textbook because all books have text in them, that is their whole point; their raison d'etre, so why differentiate a book by adding the qualifier 'text'?
