I recommend getting a job with a technical company. It should be pretty easy for you, since you're an accounting major, and almost every company has an accounting department. Tech companies tend to have more aspies than business ones, so you should be more comfortable there.
Best of luck.

Hey, go to www.railpictures.net. It's an enormous archive of user-posted pictures of trains, stations, bridges, tunnels, action shots, etc. You can search by railroad, by category, by year, and by photographer. Enjoy.

It rings a bell with me, all right. I didn't like trains as a kid, but I got into them sometime in high school, and I'm a pretty big fan now. I just like everything about them, including the whistles. I once rode an Amtrak train, and I found the clacking of the wheels against the tracks really sooth...

Throughout my life, I haven't been able to find a comfortable relationship, due to Asperger's (which by the way, I didn't know I had until this recently). However, I strongly believe that people, aspies or otherwise, are not meant to be alone. I'd like to find an aspie girl I can relate to. I would ...

I've never been to any school or college dances. From what I heard, not as great as it's hyped up to be. Maybe it would have been good to go, just so I don't have to fabricate any stories when people ask me, but oh well. What I recently discovered was beyond all my expectations. About a year ago, I ...

I'd say she did the right thing. Since she works in customer service, there are some things she's not supposed to say. However, she seemed very understanding about the whole thing. You did the right thing too. I wouldn't go around in public telling people I have Asperger's, either.

I don't mind landline phones at all, but I have slight bitterness toward cell phones. A land phone leads to place: it sits quietly on your desk/table/wall. If you're not home, any phone calls coming throught it don't bother you, and you're home free (pardon the pun). A call phone leads to *you* pers...

In my childhood apartment, there was this chandelier. It was a 19th-century replica, shaped like a glass barrel, with wrought iron designs around it. That thing used to scare the daylights out of me. Over time, I stopped fearing it during the day; I was afraid of it at night up until my family moved...

Railroads and trains have been my obsession for the past four years. I know their histories, where the tracks run, which company owns the tracks, when the tracks were laid, and the various corporate mergers among major railroads. This obsession (I mean fascination) is now on the way out, since I pre...

I used to be extremely paranoid in high school (for obvious reasons; high school is notogious for being aspie-hostile). Anyhow, I constantly worried about bullies stalking me in one location or another, either in school or around the town. In school, I memorized the whereabouts of bullies, and plann...

I'm 21 years old, and I just finished with my B.Sc. in Computer Science. I currenty work as a developer in the IT department. I visited this site just a few days ago, and when I read a list of symptoms, I had a "holy ****, that's me" feeling. My current topic of fascination is railroads and trains. ...
