Some days I hate it more than others. (Today is one of those days!) I woke up today realizing that I've accrued a lifetime of failed attempts at friendship, and that there's little hope my future will be any different from my past. I try to be friendly and nice and caring, but despite my best attemp...

Welcome! I can relate to some of the sensory stuff, but I think it's milder in my case. But I also wanted to say you obviously write very well, and I know how frustrating it is to have a high level of intelligence, but struggle to apply it to anything useful, or hold down a job... That's been my own...

I really appreciate having friends. It can be confusing, but I just try to accept whatever level of friendship the person wants to offer me, and be grateful for it.

I don't have ONE friend who cares a lot about me; but I have several friends who care a little, and it all adds up, you know?

I had to give up coffee, because it was too acidic. Green tea for me these days!

I'm still on the fence as to whether caffeine is good for me or not though :?

I haven't had a real-life friend in about 15 years. (And before that I hardly ever had any either!) I'm okay with it though. I'm a loner by nature, and my family has always been enough to fulfill my social needs. But I hear you, about sometimes wishing you had people to hang out with. I'd like to vi...

My friends seem to be annoyed by my diagnosis. I don't understand their reaction. But they all pretty much disappeared after I was diagnosed, and didn't want to be friends with me any more :(

I think everyone - AS and NT alike - has a responsibility to behave appropriately and treat other people with respect, to the absolute best of their ability. But in the case of accidental rudeness, AS does help me to forgive myself, quickly apologize for my mistake, and in some cases offer an explan...

I've been trying the old-fashioned baking soda and vinegar method for the past two weeks, and I actually really like it. I'm allergic to a lot of products so it's great to find something natural that doesn't irritate my skin or make me break out :)

I wear mens' jeans, t-shirts, and hiking boots. Don't feel right in feminine clothes!

My ex didn't always wash his hands after using the bathroom, which I found really disgusting. Sometimes when he came out, I'd ask him to rub my back a little and say it was randomly hurting... Just so at least he'd wipe his hands on my shirt a little bit, before trying to touch my face or something!...

All the time! I deal with it by learning to be really good at damage control, and apologizing when someone misinterprets what I meant to say. I just say 'sorry, that didn't come across the way I meant it to' - and then agree with their point (or at least a part of their point)... And usually that sm...
