Advice for atheists? Try Christianity for two weeks. And when I say try, I do not simply just following a law. But try to go out of your way to help someone out. Maybe volunteer a few hours at a soup kitchen or a hospital. Do something for the sake of being loving, and I am willing to bet your life...

Another thing that is hilarious is the claim that color blindness is the result or can be treated by Vitamin A! I take it the author does not have any knowledge at all of genetics. No no that makes sense; my father was born with vitamin deficiency which caused him to be color blind and he has never...

We are engaged. I don't know where I ever said "married" or "husband"... but if I did it was a slip; sometimes I do that in person as well, because we've been together and living together like a married couple for a while. I appreciate all the responses so far and you have all given me things to co...

I agree with you stardraigh , it seems to be getting worse everywhere (and I'm really sorry about the problems you're struggling with). My experience across Europe is that at best it's a lottery: you might get someone good but more often you won't... Things change dramatically of course in private p...

You're right, it's NOT a free service, at least if you ever paid taxes (even if it was that's not supposed to be an excuse for incompetence and lack of accountability) I paid in a similar system since I was 18 and learnt to keep myself as healthy as possible  At least these days I can afford to...

You concentrate so much on it being "wrong" or not that you're missing the point entirely: it's not a good idea. Whenever people strongly want to do something they know they shouldn't, they tell themselves they won't get caught. Guess what, they usually do and since you're thinking on doing this wit...

"I'm sorry you feel that way." While "can I do anything to help" can sometimes be sincere, this one is always invalidating, often deliberately so. Especially when said about your thoughts not feelings. ^This is true. Friends aren't really there for the bad times, they just talk like they are, but i...

Well, I've just sent him a message, since he's in California and an activist maybe he can offer advice on what avenues would be available. I still have a hard time believing that people in tough situation should just be left to die in some gutter. I'm sure some kind of help must exist, I just don't ...

your heart is in the right place, none of us really know what to do as none of us have the magic wand to wave over the situation and make it better. all we can do is our own little bit, I'm just mailing him $$ here and there. there is so much need out there, and the public re$ource$ are utterly sta...

I understand he's being seen as a nuisance, but isn't there anything that can be done? An organisation who could help with this mess? I can't imagine he doesn't have any rights... Even if a sum could be gathered to cover those fines, won't he soon end up in the same situation? I don't know anything ...

But what exactly are these fines for, I just can't wrap my head around it and never heard of something like this in my life 8O Is there anybody who could shed some light on the legal aspect here? I can't understand how people can declare bankruptcy and have their debts erased and a homeless, disable...

If somebody just drops me socially then I consider that simply being rude and there's nothing for me to really forgive. I just go on about my business and when they want to come back around or hang out again I tell them nope. I ignore them from then on. However if somebody betrays me such as lies a...

I got a full refund. The person I talked to, an art educator, totally understood why it was wrong. She said she appreciated my feedback because feedback determines what art instructors get hired next time. :) Because your painting was somehow more important than her having a job. You seem quite ple...
