Generally I think I mask pretty well. But sometimes I get very talkative and it just feels awkward and I'm like (me to myself) "omg, stop, you're making this weird", but I don't know how to stop if that makes sense? Like tonight at work I commented on the brand of ice cream a customer boug...

For me, having autism is neither good nor bad - it just is . There's certainly many struggles and issues I face as a result of it but there's also plenty of good as well, so I really can't just simply state 'my autism is a bad thing' or 'my autism is a good thing'. It's just part of who I am and I ...

I think it's just RSD being a bee-yotch, but my boss + coworkers are kinda not happy with me for forgetting to clean my register before leaving work yesterday. Saying I should know better since I'm in a supervisor role and such. I do clean it most of the time, I wish they'd acknowledge that. Plus I ...

https://youtu.be/mQrXFbwi-gY Been listening to this over and over the past few months. It's a bit of an AVPD mood. Things don’t look better today, the mask I wear is crumbling away Lapsing in depravity, I didn’t see what was happening to me Come here, no go away, stay… “I’ve hidden it away” Mayday!...

I have always had more mild sensory issues. I remember as a child not being able to look up at the sky because it was too bright, I'd walk around with my eyes on the grass instead. I don't remember being significantly bothered by sensory stuff until more recent years actually, but it was a long time...

Just wanted to add (I can't find the "edit" function to my post that's several above this one), that what makes an interest "special" in the autistic sense is that you THINK a LOT about it. You don't necessarily TALK a lot about it, but your mind frequently drifts towards it whi...

Makes me more Anti woke because 1. See censorship above 2. Their emphasis on identity politics harms those who "think differently" 3. Holding people to account for the most minor things and verbal slipups is bad for people prone to these. I get what you mean, but "woke" is very ...

Absolutely. LGBTQ hate is definitely ramping up again and it's terrifying because it means our rights are in danger and progressing forward will be that much harder. I certainly hope it's not. I live in a very gay-friendly area so I wouldn't know. Most of the hate I see is primarily online and dire...
