Except when they stand on your feet and bite you (but hey, that can take your mind off of things). :)

But yeah, they're majestic creatures, and they're wonderful to be around (barring the biting and standing on your feet bits).

I don't think it does end in this life, rather, it gets better or worst depending on things you usually have no say over. Some feel more of one than the other, for good or bad.

I'm guessing you could have quite large sea spiders due to less gravity.

To Heather,

I forgot to mention, if it's not evident (I'm guessing that it is, but you know): I really hope that I can hear from you again someday, when you're able to. You know I'll always care.

Probably should stop posting how bad I feel, as it feels selfish, but then, she won't know if I'm ok or not (which is a bit of both selfless and selfish).

I'll take the selfless road, as it's the only right one.

No, it's a normal emotion; not silly at all. It is a normal thing, yeah, but it really doesn't help anything to have hopes for another that you hold as if they were hopes coming from you. We're not bound to the hopes of others, and it's wrong to assume that they are bound to ours (we can hope thoug...

Asperger's syndrome: a clinical account by Lorna Wing

Nothing has really changed since that paper first came out.

0. I'm stoopid. You've got nothing on me. My poor little niece burnt her eye with some chemical and is in the hospital. Poor little niece. I'll backseat parent and say that a certain someone should watch her better, and also know more about proper first-aid. They're far too precious at such a young...

GPs probably have a basic understanding of the presentation of your common ASD on average (they do have to attend various seminars for updated information after all), but it's probably not wise to take their opinion as anything solid unless they give you valid reasons for why. To add: It's best to s...

I have a very good memory for these things, so it's right what I said (it's an ASD thing). I don't care enough to look for the papers though, as it has nothing to do with my interest at this time.

The thread title is right to me. I can cognitively understand that someone is feeling bad due to various pointers (words being the best one, of course), but I don't feel them like how others do. I have to figure it out in other words, and then I don't get emotional unless there's some form of experi...
